It requires you to tap on the side of the leash and does not always work every time you tap. When it is on it is a nice bright beam. The leash itself is easy to use and functions well. Just a great leash all around
I love the leash, especially that it has the dog bags built in. Now the hook they use for the dog bags is super flimsy and didnât work, but I rigged a key hook to make it work (ideally that would be maybe on a little built in hook on the leash and have a little metal there, but this is exact what I wanted for a leash (hate digging around for dog bags when my desperate to walk pooch needs to get outside. So this helps

Great retractable leash
this is a great retractable leash and works at it should for my pup. I Love that it has a flashlight as well as a holder for poop bags! This makes it confident for those cold nights to not only be safe at night walking but also to make sure Iâm actually picking up after my pup and not getting a handful or grass like Iâve done before. All in all I like this leash and did end up purchasing one as a gift for a relative.

Light Placement is Flawed and Leash Won’t Hold Up over Time
I like to do evening walks and I have been wanting to get a new leash, one with a built in flashlight for a while now. With the flashlight built in, your walks are so much less cumbersome. No juggling the leash and a flashlight and a poop bag at the same time – it’s all in one in this case.That said, there are a couple of flaws that keep this from being perfect. Firstly, the light itself is placed BENEATH the leash cord. Which means that if your dog walks in front of you or right beside you, the leash comes down and either bisects the beam or blocks it entirely. For the most part, my dog likes to walk a little in front of me and to the side so the strap was mostly pulled away from the light. There were times however where the strap would move in front of the beam of light and block some or all of it.Secondly, this is not a heavy duty leash. My dog is under 16lbs and has a tendency to tug on his leash in pursuit of interesting smells and new friends. The leash itself is a narrow, thin, cord of nylon. When he gave the leash a few good tugs I honestly half expected the leash to snap. As a result I ended up keeping him on a shorter leash than I normally would so that he couldn’t give it any good tugs. I definitely would not use this leash for my other dog who is bigger and has some serious strength in her. Going back to the thin nylon leash, it doesn’t tangle, I’ll give you that. But, I also don’t see this leash holding up for very long unless you have a small dog that does not pull or tug at the leash ever.The handle of the leash is very easy to grip and hold onto no matter your hand size. Very comfortable so great for those long walks. To turn the light on and off you press the center of the left side panel. This is in an awkward position if you need to turn it on/off while walking or if you have something else in your other hand. I think it would have been better if the on/off button was an actually button on the top of the handle. I felt like the battery life lasts a good amount of time between charges and it does charge fairly quick.

Nothing itâs a piece of garbage today I almost loose my puppy when I was walking her and the leach broke . I stood with the handle & my puppy started to run I thank God she stop when I ask her to stay she finally stop, my heart stop for few minute ., I do not recommend this leach itâs cheap & dangerous ðð»ðð»ð¡ð¡ it broke on a 7 lbs puppy imagine a big or average dog. This company shouldnât sell their leach or anything else on Amazon recommend to banned them.. ðð»ðð»ðð»ðð»ð¾ð¡ð¡ð¡ð¡

The iPetba Heavy Duty Retractable Dog Leash with LED Light for Night Walk Dog Leash with Flashlight for Medium Large Dogs Before Sunrise Anti Slip Handle 20ft 360° Tangle Freeseems hefty and well made, not flimsy at all.The light is a decent brightness, actually useful, easily find poop in the dark.It’s rechargeable so no worries about disposable batteries or tiny button batteries that are a nuisance.My dog is about 35lbs so this works fine for him.The light is USB rechargeable, the included A to C cable works to recharge the unit. It does not charge from USB PD to note.I didn’t measure the length but pulled all the way out I would say it’s about 20′.The LED light has a good runtime, not sure exactly but more than enough for most walks.The light uses a touch sensor to turn on / off, sometimes hard to find in the dark but very reliable compared to a mechanical switch, should last just about forever.A few not really cons but nice to haves would be:A wrist lanyard so that I don’t have to worry about my dog pulling it out of my hand.An attachment point for the poop bag dispenser.A rubber cover for the USB port, it’s possible the leash will be exposed to some water / rain and it would be nice if it could have some ingress protection.Overall, a decent leash that works well and is a good value at ~$33 at the time of this review with a $12 potential coupon discount.

This review is for the iPetba heavy-duty retractable dog leash.The retractable dog leash comes in a box with the leash, USB cable (to charge the light), instructions and poop bag holder. It was a nice bonus that it included poop bags, not just the holder itself.This seems well made and feels like the same weight as my other retractable leash. The leash expands up to 20 feet and is supposed to work with dogs up to 110 pounds. My dogs are under 20 pounds, so I cannot verify this. The leash is reflective, which is always nice to have. There’s a lock mechanism on the top of the handle, making it easy to lock the leash length without having to move your hand off the handle itself.I liked that this has an LED light. To operate it, you touch the side twice, and the light comes on. The light is quite bright, and it’s nice not having to carry my flashlight on walks.  The 20-foot leash comes in black, and it would have been nice to have other colour choices to choose from. Overall, I found this style of leash competitively priced and rate it a 4.5 out of 5.

The leash itself is sturdy and the lock mechanism is easy to use but the button for the flashlight function is a pain in the behind.The flashlight is somehow both too sensitive and not sensitive enough? Like sometimes it turns on by itself in my bag, which makes sense, but sometimes you graze it lightly while walking and it turns on but then won’t turn off. Turning it off is straight up challenging whether you’re being gentle or downright aggressive. The button is this huge circle on one side of the handle and, honestly, maybe something smaller and more predictable & reliable world have been better. I think the goal was that at night you could just slap it on and off against your thigh while walking but it’s a gamble whether or not it’ll work. On the plus ish side, I have not recharged it since January and it’s still going!The size of the handle is best suited to someone with average to larger hands. The addition of a spare poopy bag holder was greatly appreciated but this style of leash is harder to hold and pick up poo. The length of the leash is excellent for sniff walks when your dog wants a wider berth to explore.Generally, I don’t love or hate this leash? I don’t regret getting it but would probably choose differently next time.
