How did we start?
Bred in 2002, fabdog was started by founder and designer, Cassie Cole in her NYC apartment, out of the love for her cocker spaniel, Lucky. The Real Batman –
An Astro Needed an Astronaut
Saw an Astronaut so had to get one for my dog, Astro. Since he (Astro) is huge, only the Large would suffice. I lurked on seller site for months, contacted seller, resumed lurking: small only.Finally! After months, a Large. It came and of course, barely was sniffed. Made for cute pics (play on his name). Not very sturdy build, so until his little puppy brother’s bedtime (who is in puppy stage of destroy everything) Astronaut is in space (on fridge).

Nice, but can tear easy
My dog loves these toys, and they seem good, but they don’t seem to hold up to much “tug of war”. So we have one that looks all patched up because the arms rip off. Not sure if they could do extra stitching or something to make the leg joints a little more secure, but overall, its a toy for dogs, so just a matter of time before it will need to be replaced.

We are sad to announce the passing of âMr. Camelâ shortly following his arrival to his new home. Itâs been reported he was attacked by the resident German Shepard, and succumbed to his injuries sustained during three torturous days of licking, gnawing, and tugging.Not as âdurableâ as I had hoped. Sheâs a 9 year old flat back, and likes to nibble at the squeaker until itâs dead. The seams ruptured and the stuffing sacrificed itself to the vacuum. Ah well. At least it was cute.

I bought this because it was advertised as being large and durable. It’s medium at best and fell apart very quickly! I’m really disappointed. It was a fun toy at first, but it has no lasting chewability – the stuffing comes out and my dog wants to eat it and that makes the product unsafe. On the plus side it has a squeaker in both arms, legs, and in the body, if your dog likes squeakers and isn’t a big chewer it might be fine.
