Grinds my pup’s nails a little faster, dunno about running cooler
My boys really hate getting their nails ground down. The whole process becomes quite the ordeal because they wiggle and pull their paws away so much. This doesn’t fix that, but my hope was that it could grind a little faster to help me make the most of the windows where they stay still.It is a little faster, but nothing major. It did not make it less of an ordeal haha. But if the cost were the same, this one would be the better buy. My dogs are relatively small, so I don’t feel too much heat grinding their little nails down, so can’t comment on their claim of it running cooler. And their nail dust never clogged my previous bits, so not sure the channels do much for me.

Louder than the original, bit is loose and comes out while running, but still mostly works
This replacement grinder head fits my Lucky Tail nail grinder okay, even though it’s a little taller than the original bit (the guard still fits). It’s a little bit looser than the original bit, which causes the bit to come out if you’re holding the grinder at an angle instead of straight up and down. I just touched it to my arm quickly while running to push it back in.The bit makes a louder vibrating noise than the original bit, so make sure your dog is used to the grinder with the quieter bit, then move on to this replacement.I was a little scared the grooves in the bit would catch my dogs nails and scare her, but they didn’t. It doesn’t seem to grind any faster than the original bit – both take a couple minutes per nail to get to the right length (she’s 80lbs with thick, black and white nails). The two head set also comes with a brush with metal bristles, presumably to clean out the grooves, but I didn’t need it after one sitting.

Didn’t fit
This head did not fit my dremel so I was unable to test it on our dogs nails. Was hoping it would work.

A bit unwieldy
This style of tip, with the gaps in them, does cut faster than the regular full-circle designs. However, it also sometimes catches the nail in one of the gaps and I lose control. It also sits fairly loose in my grinder; I measured this one and my old grinder head and they are the same width so I’m not sure why that is.Overall, I think I’ll avoid this style in the future even though it cuts faster.

Worked great on my pups nails!
I really like this anti-clogging diamond bit! It fits perfectly in my grinder tool. However, even though it’s advertised to work with the capped nail grinder, it did not work with mine. At first, it worked with the top on after I adjusted the bit, but in the end, the top kept flying off. Eventually, I decided just to remove the top, and it worked fine that way. My only concern now is getting my pet’s fur caught in the tool, which is the reason I purchased the one with the top. Overall, this bit is very effective and works great. It’s actually significantly better than the bit that originally came with my tool. I’m super happy that the bit came in a pack of two; I just wished it worked with the protective top on.

These work great for ceramic grinding
I got these for when i need to grind down some of my bisqueware ceramics. From time to time i need to work on a pot after its been fired initially and always need a good diamond grinding wheel. These work great so long as you don’t go against the edge. Overall, they are nice and strong and grind nicely. If you use these on dog nails, just be careful not to press too hard.

Good cooling tips
I’m usually hesitant to grind my dog’s nails for too long anyway, as I don’t want heat to build up and for her to be uncomfortable. But this gives me a bit of peace of mind, since it’s meant to stay cool longer. Seem to work well. Will see how long it lasts, compared to my grinder’s original bit.
