works on the cat too
i had a different shaped one that I thought was a good idea. it did feel good in the hand but so does this one. I kept losing the other one. people see this and immediately know what it is and put it in the sink for me to wash so? wherever I leave it it is not lost. the cat doesn’t get fleas, he is too good for that,lol!!!! but he does get flea dirt I guess they must come a calling? anyway, he lets me comb him with this and it does pick that up too. I use garlic and brewers yeast tablets to try and cut down on fleas so I still need this comb for the affenpinschers almost daily. they like it a lot. they have a combing area and it doesn’t matter what you say if you show them this comb they go there and pose for you. they even knock each other out of the way to be first:)

Defective flea comb
The flea combâs teeth are so close at some sections that the fur gets stuck and canât be removed without pulling the fur out in sections from the comb.The brand has been great until now. Thus comb is so defective I threw it out.I will try to order it again.Another point is that I pay for premium service annually and I have noticed that item gets lost before delivery to my residence. It even takes longer than parcel post service.Another point is that heavy items are not shipped to Hawaii even though they charge more at point if purchase in addition to premium service. They no longer send items such as diatomaceous earth staying it is not available for shipment to Hawaii. This is the only place I could find to state my concerns with it being seen.

It gets the fleas!
Perfect combination of cheap and doing the job. It works great and my dog and cat don’t seem to mind. We were having issues with our Flea Medicine and our dog was still getting fleas. I would bring him outside and use this to remove the fleas from his coat. You could almost see the relief on his face.It does the job well!

I purchased this comb to restyle vintage Barbie Doll hair, and it has the perfect size teeth and it fits comfortably in my hand. Love it!

My Favorite Flea Comb–>
The yellow* color of this comb makes observance of active fleas very easy….. I use a 5 gallon bucket to quickly deposit the fleas after each successful pass with this comb … The parasitic fleas cannot jump out of the bucket and once all my pets have been combed, the live fleas and their eggs get the drowning treatment with a very gentle spray of hot water- then they make a final trip down the toliet…. Works Great!!! Sometimes you will get a female flea stuck in the teeth of the comb and upon inspection, you can actually see the thing pumping out eggs one after another…. eeeeyuckkkkkk!EDIT: September, 2024- Unfortunately someone at Four Paws decided to change the color of this flea comb from yellow to a medium blue thus making it much harder to see when you have captured a live flea… Because of this foolish move, I deducted one star from an otherwise perfect product.

It’s lighter weight than I expected, but I can’t find my other flea combs and needed something for the new dog. As it turns out, she didn’t have fleas anyway, at least I didn’t find any. Still, I expect it will do the job when necessary.
