UPDATE!!!! Great product.
You will see below the orig review. We were wrong. The zippers and the entire product are exceptional.IT WAS USER ERROR.SORRY.The bag has so many options. We did not see that the handles were stuffed inside for shipping. Wooops! Hard Woops! It even has a backpack option. We just wish the backpack straps were veryicle so dogs head can pop out the top.Another note: a bit heavy due to the added zip out compartments. Would be great for campgrounds if you needed to keep dog in bag.But ZIPPERS are strong. Stitching same.Just be sure to pull out straps before attempting to zip.AND see many carry options. May be more than you need.Orig review:Ok. Yes we will tell you. Managementâ¦Zippers do not pass through over the top. We have tried to zip around the top from both zippers, and we are unable to do that. And I imagine if we forced it, it would break the the zippers, leaving the bag no point in having.Bummer bc we were expecting this travel bag to be Ideal for our needs.

Komfortable Kitty Kondo
This product is extremely well made and, in spite of the soft-side design, seems just as solid as our old molded case. There are so many options for carrying the unit: – With the hand straps (comfortably padded) – As a backpack (if youâre so inclined) – As a shoulder bag (for the style minded)Not sure that Iâve discovered them all yet, but there are at least 5 different entry options of varying sizes to accommodate any size small pet.The zippers operate smoothy and, except for the side vent doors, are double zipped allowing for quick and easy openings/closing.There are side pockets to store your phone and a copy of the enormous bill that theyâll provide you with when heading home from the clinic. The bottom of the unit has a plush bottom, with a solid core, that is velcroâd down and is removable for cleaning if needed. It even comes with a snap-hooked small leash that you can utilize to keep your fur baby from jumping ship while youâre zipping him out. When not in use, the carrier fully collapses and folds into much less space than those molded cratesWhen not on the move, the expandable sides makes it possible to give your pet some room to stretch and feel less cramped and confined. Also makes it possible to really piss off the nosey big dogs in the waiting area.My Bengal beast does NOT like our old, plastic, bulky kritter karrier. Just the sight of it drives him into hiding spots that I never would have thought of.Of course, the ensuing car ride and the inevitable probing and squeezing by the Vet staff might be a factor, but I prefer to think that he likes his new spacious and comfortable digs. I leave it out and sometimes find him napping in it.And, if my bad boy ever decides to take a vacation, his carrier is airline approved. If your pet is a bit larger or you might not want to haul the dude, the Gardner folks also offer a version that comes with wheels and a telescoping handle.

Good Quality, not sizes shown on page
The quality was good. On the Amazon page it shows larger dimensions than it actually is- about 4 inches smaller in length (shown as 20in in reality 16in) as shown on box, and also shorter and narrower than listed. My dog didn’t fit.

Nice carrier. A few small awkward points.
This carrier would be comfortable for a cat maybe up to 10 to 12 pounds. As you canât really carry it expanded, it would need to be comfortable for an animal completely zipped up. I have Maine coons and had hoped that this would be suitable for them, and I donât really think itâs meant to hold my 22 pound boy. Itâs just a little too short length-wise for that. It is taller inside than most soft sided carriers so that is a plus. Here are the things that I liked: itâs pretty easy to expand with the zippers and just takes a few seconds. I like that there are multiple entry points â you can put the cat in from the sides when they are fully expanded and from the front. It has pockets on one end and a zippered pocket on one side. It also has a zippered pocket in the very top to hold the backpack straps and the shoulder strap. The trim has wire inside to keep it upright and not squish down even when it is fully opened. It has a thin piece of particleboard to help keep it rigid in the very bottom when you are carrying it. I also like that there are provided straps with buckles on one side for you to put a seatbelt through in the car to keep it anchored. You can also use them to slip it over a luggage handle in the airport. What I didnât like quite as much is that the loops and hooks to attach straps are all made of plastic. I really wouldâve preferred to see metal to make it more durable. The plastic clips seem like they wonât last all that long, especially if youâre carrying a heavy animal. Also when closing the sides after having it expanded, itâs a little tricky to tuck all of the mesh back in so it doesnât crowd the animal on the inside. You have to fold it just so and tuck it underneath the board on the bottom so it stays, otherwise it encroaches the space. I wish the board in the bottom was also expandable to include the larger floor space when you have it open all the way. As it is, my catâs claws could get stuck in the mesh or damage my car seat seats. I would need to put a blanket or something underneath if I expanded it while traveling.Overall, I think this is quite useful for giving extra space to an animal for long trips. Obviously, you couldnât expand it like that on a plane because it wouldnât fit under the seat, but in a car, I think it would make your pet much more comfortable.
