Solid purchase, would recommend for people with long hair cats, or thick long hair dogs.
Works well for my Norwegian elkhound ‘Weegee’ and my Main Coon cat ‘Zero’ ! I also have a redtick coon hound, it does not work on Daisy’s fur but she is a short haired dog. Has saved me grooming costs on Weegee. If you have thick and long haired dog this is by far the best brush I have tried. There is no short term shedding and done with a Norwegian, they are amazing pets but shedding is 24/7 and grooming is much more labor intensive than a lot of breeds. The undercoat if not dealt with and the constant shedding can cause a lot of skin infections (their hair is just that thick). Without getting the shed/loose hairs out they will hold moisture and it can lead to very costly vet bills due to causing infections.I have cut our weekly grooming visit down to 1 time a month. I honestly thought this brush would just be another in the junk drawer, I have tried to so many over the years I have a pile of them we don’t even use. The push button empty is a finger saver too! So many brushes are sharp like needles and prick the skin when you attempt to clear the hair, this one no risk of self injury when you empty! Push the button over the trash and the hair slides right off. The brush is wide so it does a larger area in a shorter amount of time. My dog is indoor and outdoor and she is always in everything this does well at helping to pull out burrs too without pulling harshly on her hair.I see a lot of people complain not for cats. If you have a domestic short hair then no, I don’t think this brush would be a great fit. Not all pet items work for all breeds, short hair domestics cats and even short hair dogs do not require the same level of grooming as long hairs. I have a Main coon cat, he has long hair and the brush works well for brushing him to help prevent matting. Solid purchase, would recommend for people with long hair cats, or thick long hair dogs.

Works exactly as expected
Works good !! My fave part is how it cleans the hair off!The only reason I didnât give it 5 stars is because the little teeth on the brush/comb sometimes bend in on themselves or in a different way.(You can see a few in the pics I have tried to pinch and bend them back to shape already)Now itâs kinda easy to bend it back to line up for the slot it goes inâ¦but I guess I just worry if over time will those break off ? Like the metal on that is pretty thin⦠And then if it does break will the brush end up being unusable like would it cut my dog?And also I know I donât brush my dog harshly with it so Iâm unsure why they are getting bent out of place ? But yeah thatâs my only concern.Itâs good for the price though.Update: wrote this in February 2023, itâs currently may coming up June 2023 and the brush is still in good shape. Still have to bend the teeth but none have broke off so itâs not as big of a worry for me anymore but I do watch it just incase any do break off

Perfect brush for dogs that have an undercoat
I have two Pomeranians Sky is 1 years old and Indy is 6 months old. Neither of them would let me brush them before and I have combs, slickers, soft brush, dematters basically if there is grooming tool I have it. Sky my 1-year-old hated all of them would even try to bite me. He loves this brush. He lies down in my lap and just lets me brush him as much as a want. He does try to eat the hair when I remove it but he’s still young. Also, the removal of the hair is so easy. I have another brush from pet zoom like this and the bristles don’t retract enough it can be difficult to remove the hair. No joke you push the button and can slide the hair off. Last Sky was just neutered so had a donut on for two weeks which caused huge matts. I had been trying all my grooming tools to remove the matts. My poor boy was being tortured with me trying to remove these huge matts which is actually why last night I decided to buy this brush I needed to find something gentler on him. I used the brush tonight on his neck and it only took 10 minutes to get his horrible matts out and it wasn’t torture for Sky he actually enjoyed it. Last my 6-month-old Indy who I literally could not brush too squirmy and would whine. He was still a little squirmy but that’s because he is still a puppy but no whining. He eventually just lied down in my lap and let me brush him. Sorry for the long review but I wanted to explain that I have a lot of my experience with different brushes, and this is the best I have ever had. I am beyond impressed. I hope it holds up but honestly even if it didn’t, I would just buy another one because of how much my dogs like the brush. I give this 5 starts 10 times over.

Good brush but the bristles get stuck in the brush
I used it for almost a year and it held up well but the bristles would get stuck when I would empty it. It kept getting worse until the bristles got stuck and it wouldnât pop out anymore so itâs useless now. But it brushed my poodles hair really well and it was fun to empty out the brush when it was full of hair.

Works great
I was excited to see if I could reduce my dogs shedding, especially since warmer weather was approaching. She was a short haired pit and husky mix. It did grab a lot of hair and was really easy to clean! My dog thought it felt pretty good especially on those hard to reach places, but thought it creepy that it would remove funny little rectangle patches of her hair! We were impressed by the ease of cleaning the brush. She was equally concerned when we would put her hair in the garbage. Something about that made her act a bit funny when sheâd see us with it, but then she would stretch out for the brushing. She really enjoyed her neck and lower back. Sadly our dog passed away before we could really test it on her big shed in late spring and summer. But I think it would have worked great, and our cat likes it. Good buy!

For a doggie that hates to be groomed…
…our doggie loves this brush! It’s soft, really gentle on the skin, does unravel little knots, retracts (which is soooooo great!) and seems soothing to her. It’s also easy to hold and stays still. Woof!
