Love it, needed it and works great
Love it, needed it and works great. The three things I can say about this item is its made strong. Good stitches and will last.The second thing is make sure you watch how it’s put together. Because I just unwrapped it assuming I would be able to just put it together fast and easy and it wasn’t so fast. You can actually attach it another way that isn’t as sturdy.The last thing is its not that big ofba loop for your hand to get through. I didnt notice if they had sizes but if you have big hands it may not work for you. For my wife and myself it wasn’t an issue but if you have real big hands then you may have some problems.This thing is a must have. It’s great with our dog. We have a small dog and use a retractable leash. Our dog loves to dart for rabbits and rodent and if you arent paying attention she can and has pulled the leash from our hands. This made working about that a thing of the past. I put a picture in of the size of my hand and it works great for me.

I donât feel safe with my dog on a leash if it canât go around my wrist. The retractable leash came with a thin cord that was falling apart so I decided to replace it. This is fantastic! Itâs quality, itâs comfortable, it slips over my hand easily but stays in place and wonât come off until I intentionally take it off. One of the best purchases Iâve made lately!

Great tool
I added more Velcro to make it more sturdy! also added a d ring to use a double sided leash, to attach to my rollator. Worked amazing !!! So light weight and easy to use, color was on point, was super durable. I would purchase again.

Finally got use of both of my hands back!
I love this strap. I can let go of the leash handle to use both hands and still feel my dog is securely under control. The inner padding is soft and the design allows me to slide it over my hand to take it off, but it tightens up slightly if pulled by the leash so it can’t come off. I have found that I can “drop” the leash with this attached, use both my hands (in my case it’s usually putting my mail in a plastic bag for the lengthy walk home) and then with a simple twist of my wrist get the leash handle back in my hand.I got this because my dog bolted after seeing another dog while I was in the middle of trying to get a small box into the “mail” bag and he ended up pulling the leash out of my hand. I watched helplessly as my dog ran up the street with the retractable leash merrily bouncing behind. Thankfully, nothing bad happened because he’s just a barker. Now that I have this strap, there’ll be no more embarrassing sights of a 64 year old man waddling after a run away leash ð

Liked it so much I bought another
I attach this strap to my retractable leash so that I have a backup when my dog pulls the leash out of my hand. That’s what it’s meant to do, and it does it well. It’s handy to let my leash dangle from the strap while I access treats or a poop-bags, too. I can easily slip my hand in and out of the loop as needed. It isn’t meant to fit tightly around the wrist, so if I was extremely inattentive or unconscious, my dog could get away, but that’s okay. Maybe he’ll go get help. Or a squirrel.Some of the pictures in the listing show the strap wrapped around a fence or other object. I do this sometimes, but only temporarily and I never leave my dog unattended this way because the velcro is not secure enough to keep him from pulling the whole thing loose if he lunges. It’s great for what it’s meant to do, but if you’re looking for a tie-out, this isn’t it.

Adds and extra layer of security when holding onto a retractable leash, if you drop it or it gets yanked out of your hand,this handle is stillon your wrist. Great for when you need a free and to do some scooping up. Easy to attachand remove but very secure.
