EXCELLENT for long hair cats!
I have a rescue cat with very thick, long hair. I’ve tried different brushes, deShedding tools, etc. She hasn’t liked any of them, and will fight being brushed. Plus, they never worked.idk why, but this tool works AND she actually likes being brushed with it. It’s easy to clean, removes the nasty fuzzy hairs and dead skin (gross!) and the tips don’t irritate her – she actually purrs while I brush her. I completely recommend this brush for long hair cats.

Good basic brush
First of all, I should mention that I have a bichon, a curly-coated dog with hair, not fur. That means she doesnât shed fur, but it must be regularly brushed out. I have no idea how this works for other types of coats.This is a good basic brush. My bichon has fine hair that is super curly. That means it tangles easily, and can mat especially in certain areas. I brush her a couple of times per week, and some brushes pull and are uncomfortable. When that happens, sheâs not shy about letting me know.Sheâs totally at ease when I use this brush on her, but it also does a good job getting down to her skin (without scratching) and getting the loose hairs and tangles. I can easily brush her all over, even her sensitive feet and under her neck, without her pulling away. In fact, the worst thing about brushing sessions now is that she might be dozing and not want to turn over!As shown in the pics, getting the hair out of the brush is super easy, and to clean it, I use a wipe with the bristles down.The handle is comfortable enough. I donât use it for long stretches, so it might be different if I were brushing a bigger dog.Iâve only had it for a month or so now, so if anything shows up long-term, Iâll update. So far, though, itâs exactly what we wanted.

All four of my cats love this brush, even the one who hates being brushed and will attack any other brushes we’ve tried. Works great at getting the loose hair out without pulling. Does nothing for dander unfortunately. Easy to clean which is great.

Does the job
Itâs rather bulky on a small dog. But it does pull out the dead fur and is very easy to release with the button. We use it on a 15 lb terrier with a long torso and it certainly does work along his back, a little bulky on his chest and under his chin but yes Iâd still recommend it. Update: love this brush. Keep it nearby when watching tv. Give him a few brushes while heâs relaxing. It REALLY pulls out the dead fur and holds onto it until retracting the pins. Iâm not left with dog hair all over my clothes. Itâs 5 âï¸s now

This is brush #9 that Iâve tried on my cat. Sheâs only a fan of being brushed if itâs with a dollar store brush that just âfeels niceâ, but doesnât actually remove any fur. She does let me use this brush for about 30 seconds, but it does get out a good amount of fur. I love the slide feature that retracts the bristles so you can clean the brush off.

I read 5 star reviews on this site and on cats.com site but I am not impressed at all. It doesn’t remove much hair and my cat who used to love being brushed doesn’t like it one bit. Sure wish I would have kept my old brush.

I have a Cavapoo with very thick fur that doesnât shed so a good brushing is frequently required. This brush is great for removing loose and matted fur. Plus itâs very easy to clean. Highly recommend as part of your grooming repertoire
