Great Little Machine
I have had this a week and find it most helpful to help me fall asleep. I like that there are no wires, and completely portable. I charged it once a week ago and it has gone all night every night. Lots of sound options. I tend to do the thunderstorm. Many light options as well or you can shut the light off. The volume it easily adjusted. Good for travel. I definitely prefer this to using a phone, as Iâve had nightmares where my phone died from a recording going all night and my alarm didnât go off, plus itâs nice to not always be using screens. Very modern and clean looking, I prefer the look and compact size of this one to the larger wired version.

Very soothing
Gave 4 stars only because of the volume control. It goes from too quiet to too loud with no in between. Otherwise, great product. Very soothing and lots of different sounds to choose from.

Helpful little machine
I got this portable and rechargeable sound machine to bring to work for a variety of reasons. Mainly to provide white noise, but also to provide calm background sounds that help me stay focused to work. If I am listening to music that I like, I will often get distracted with listening to the word. With this machine, I can have some background noise that does not garner my attention. I find that I work better in an environment that is not totally silent. This machine is a great size to carry anywhere. It charges up well and will run a long time between charges. This has 3 types of sounds; each with a number of different sounds that fall into the same category. The sounds are nature, meditation, and baby/infant white noise. I also like that this has a light to it. It can either be a basic white that you can adjust in brightness, or it can be any number of colors…or my favorite, where it changes and continuously scrolls through all the colors. This has been serving the purpose that I got it for very well, and there are so many more things this can do, and different applications for this machine. I would recommend it!

White noise develops pulsating/rhythmic sound that is distracting. Other sounds are ok.
If you’re getting this for the white noise, we sent it back. After a little while of running, the white noise develops a rhythmic pulsing sound that is distracting and woke me up. The other sounds are nice. We eventually landed on the Lectrofan brand that seems to create a steady white/brown noise.

Works great
I like the multiple functions and went so far as to buy one as a gift. I think it’s a bit overpriced compared to some other models.

So many options!
I really like this little sound machine, Iâve never had one before, and I wasnât sure what to expect, but for the last two days, Iâve actually fallen asleep, faster than I have in the last few months. All the nature sound options are great, I definitely like the ones with the rain and thunder. The sound machine itself is very small, I like that you can choose a light color, and you can also set the amount of time that you want the sound to play for.It does come with other sound options for babies, and they are a few options with singing bowls and bells, but those are a little too jarring for me to sleep too.The singing goals and bells would be great for meditation, but I currently do not meditate. There are also guided breathing meditation options, which I will probably start to use after the new year.I think this would make a great gift, and it would also be some thing that I would place in an Airbnb so that my guests could sleep better. (Itâs definitely small enough to travel with, and I plan on bringing it with me when I go).The price is fantastic, and it comes nicely packaged.

Intuitive design
This review is for Homedics SoundSleep Aura, Sound Machine for Better Sleep, 7-Color Mood-Enhancing Light, 28 Soothing Sounds, Bluetooth Compatible, Meditation & Mindfulness Aid, Portable. Box says: SS-2700, get better sleep, 28 soothing sound options – 14 nature sounds, 7 meditation sounds, 7 calming baby sounds; 7- color mood-enhancing light – toggle between 7 colors, plus warm light; includes 5 brightness levels; 3 guided breathing exercises, Bluetooth compatible; 1 year limited warranty, made in China. Includes instruction pamphlet and meditation & breath training guide. This is one of the best portable, USB-C rechargeable sound machines tried. It is intuitive to use, has good sound quality, and is a just-right size for home use (diameter ~2 5/8″ x ~4″ tall). The buttons are all on the top surface and have layout and icons that are easy to figure out. The buttons are all arranged in a ring with one button in the center – the power button. The volume buttons are to the left and right of that and are triangle shaped (all the other buttons are round). The Bluetooth and 3 sound types are on the top half (above the center line power and volume buttons). The meditation program, colored light, white light/dimmer, and timer buttons are on the bottom half (below the center line power and volume buttons). A short button press switches between options and a long button press turns off that option. There are a wide range of sounds to choose from, so you should be able to find a few you like or use the device for your own sounds/music via Bluetooth (Auracast), although the sound options are not as good as some other white noise machines tried. The nature sounds (rain drop icon) have various water or white noise sounds, including rain, waves, trickling, fan, fire crackling, ticking. The meditation sounds (lotus icon) are various chimes, gongs, vibrations, chords, flutes. The calming baby sounds (kid face icon) include familiar songs twinkle twinkle little star, lullaby and goodnight, hush little baby, whooshing sound; some of the lullaby sounds have too sharp of a chime (music box like) that makes them less relaxing. The lighting goes all around the side perimeter of the machine. The white light has 5 options for brightness, with some low light options. The colored lights are quite bright and there is no dimmer option; the cycling color option has a very smooth transition between colors and is interesting to watch. There is a timer button for untimed, 30, 60, or 90 min (and tiny green lights illuminate when selected). The breath training exercises in the guide are 5/5, 4/7/8, and 4/6 breathing methods. The guide says to listen for 1, 2, or 3 prompt tones to distinguish between the 3 breathing methods, but the machine has 3 tones for all options when the button is subsequently pressed, so it is hard to quickly distinguish between the methods. No charger cord was provided, although the instruction pamphlet says one is provided; the device was charged up using a standard phone charger.
