Lovely and works perfectly
I highly recommend this cool pink shedding tool. ððI have the original hair strip, but at the price I wanted to try the others too. Love the distinctive colour pink of this tool . I had spray painted my others because at many stables, people seem to âborrowâ things. I hope in the future these come in more bright or pastel colours, maybe even a colour swirl . I do like the holes in the cheap plastic one which work well too, it allows me to fasten a baling twine strap because I tend to drop or throw brushes with my arthritis. If you think you want this, definitely get it, it is fabulous!

Worth the try
This is somewhere between a rubber curry and…a metal one? I like it to get hair off the face and legs mostly. I think I still like my rubber curry and metal curry for big shedding jobs in the winter. That being said though, I’m glad to have it in my grooming bucket

Surprisingly Effective
In the ever-evolving quest to tame the wild frontier of pet shedding, I stumbled upon this curious grooming tool. Advertised with equines in mind, it boasts versatility across a spectrum of furry friends, including dogs and cats. Its robust, rubbery design is both its charm and its puzzleâa solid piece that promises ease of cleaning and durability against the elements. What stands out is its dexterity with short-coated breeds. The tool is surprisingly adept at navigating the delicate balance of efficient de-shedding without irritating the skin, even on more sensitive areas like faces and legs. Its efficacy shines on dry coats, where it excels at plucking loose fur straight to the groundâthough this feature does suggest outdoor grooming sessions for cleanliness sake. However, the tool’s one-size-fits-all approach can be its downfall for those with longer-haired companions or those looking for a deeper, undercoat-reaching solution. Additionally, while its solid form factor is mostly a boon, a more ergonomic grip would not go amiss for those lengthy grooming sessions that our furry friends sometimes necessitate.Despite these minor drawbacks, it’s a stalwart addition to the grooming kit, especially coming into the shedding season. Whether for horses, hares, or hounds, this tool has carved out its niche, making it a worthwhile consideration for pet owners looking to simplify their grooming routine.

Expensive but is a gentle way to help your horse shed out in the spring
Purchased this for one of my horses that’s having some sensitivity to your standard curry brushes. It is easy to hold, clean, disinfect, and features a smaller pattern for places like their face or other sensitive areas. My horse has a much easier time with this than the large lugged brushes. I’ve tried it on my dogs but they have pretty long hair, so they don’t do too much. I could see this working on breeds such as Labs, pit bulls, and the like with short hair.

One solid piece
I saw an ad for a brush like this. I wanted to go ahead and grab one to try before the horses start to really shed their winter coats. The brush is very long and itâs wider, but not so wide that it doesnât fit comfortably in the palm of my hand. Itâs also very solid. It feels like itâs just a solid piece of rubber. The texture varies on the tool making for different scrubbing effects.I tried this on my horses, both wet and dry just out of curiosity. It absolutely does not do a good job wet. Dry it works quite well. The best part is how easy it cleans itself. The hair doesnât have long teeth to stick in and you can brush the hair off and it just falls to the ground. When itâs time to clean this brush, itâs also extremely easy. Again being a solid piece, it can be washed and dried simply.I do really like this in my grooming kit and I find it to be a useful addition for wiping away that dead fur. I will say itâs best used on cleaner fur versus muddy fur.
