A delightful and simple counting and color game for very young children
This is a game that very young toddlers will pick up quickly. The child “catches” the fish with the Velcro rod and places the fish in the colored buckets. It is somewhat tricky for the child to pick up only one fish — the Velcro completely surrounds the tip of the rod, so the child will invariably end up picking up more than one fish at a time. However, this is probably a better option because it guarantees that the rod will easily pick up any fish it touches. You simply have to prompt him or her to separate the fish and put them each in the proper colored bucket. Also, I’m not certain it is clear from the Amazon ad, but the game mat is also a storage bag so you can put all the pieces into the game mat to make certain nothing gets lost. Great idea! A well-thought out toy deserving of five stars.

Fun and good for learning!!
The Velcro is super strong, but it didnât take long for my 2.5 year old to adapt to that. Through play, your child will learn colors, numbers, counting, sorting, and more! They may even learn fishing concepts like catch and release, since my daughter would put the fish right back instead of sorting them lol. The mat is actually a bag, which is great, but you do have to be careful not to spill the fish all over when using it as such. Overall, a great game to play with your toddler!

Very cute toy for babies who can sit up
The mat is just a little thinner than I would have thought, but everything seems very well stitched. The squishy fishing poles are an absolute delight for tiny fists to hold. This was definitely designed by someone who understands babies! I would say this is an appropriate toy for any baby who is able to sit up on their own with relative stability. I don’t see this toy engaging most children after their 3rd birthday, but every kid is different. There are definitely more age appropriate fishing games for preschoolers, though. This is a wonderful gift for the tiniest of humans. I would personally give this as a 1/2 birthday gift for a baby so they’d have it waiting for the moment they were ready to play with it. Or if their first Christmas or Easter comes between their 6th and 12th month that could be an appropriate time to gift this so they will get the most developmental fun out of it before they outgrow it. The toy specifically says not to machine wash it, but I feel like if it were spit up on and I didn’t want to hand wash it that it could hold up to being washed in a garment bag on gentle. I will update this review if I have cause to try it, but it does seem well made. It says made in China, but the stiches are better quality than a lot of made in China products so I am confident it will hold up to some abuse at the hands of tiny humans.

Super cute!
Item arrived timely and as described. This is a super cute toy that can be played as a game or casual. The velcro for picking up the fish works really well. Very colorful and entertaining for the toddlers or older.

Fun for baby, easy for mom
This is a well made, high quality interactive set for babies and young toddlers. The sticking is even and strong, it’s bright colors attract babys attention, and all parts are defect free. Being able to close it all up by simply folding the mat makes it easy to clean up and super convenient for travel.

Cute Toy
This is a cute toy, I love watching the kids play pretend fishing. I do not expect kids to follow the numbers but it is definitely great practice with motor skills and the mat.

Fun for toddlers
This is absolutely adorable. The âfishiesâ are soft, so easy for little toddler hands. The fishing rods are also soft and have a little âweightâ on one end with velcro on them. Thatâs how they catch the fishies. The cups are fun because they are all different colors and are numbered. This helps babies become familiar with numbers and colors and work on their hand-eye coordination. The best part is that it all fits in the little bag that comes with it. Makes storage easier.

This game is a lot of fun. It’s made as a book and you can zip in or out each page. On the pages there are several activities lie, learning to tie your shoes, to put money in a small purse, learning the time, the days of the week, ect. The words are in English. As my granddaughters are educated in French, I intend to cover the English words by removable velcro pieces on which I will draw the words in French. If his had already been done for several languages, it would have been so great! The game is intended for 3,4, 5, 6 year olds kids. One of my grand-daughters is only two and 1/2. she may be able to do some of the activities in this book but many of them are too old for her.

This fishing game is a nice option for little ones to play and learn at the same time. It has bright fish with numbers, sorting cups, and two soft rods. Kids can match colours, count fish, and sort them into cups while using the rods to âcatchâ them. The rods are squeezable and easy to hold, with a sticky pad to help grab the fish. Itâs a fun way to work on motor skills and hand-eye coordination. The fish are big enough to be safe, and the rods feel sturdy. Everything is soft and well-made, so itâs safe for kids and can handle a bit of rough play. Itâs fun indoors or outside; parents can join in too, making it a good choice for family time or a small group of toddlers.
