A safe cat toy
This is a dangerous toy. The tail gets stuck in my catâs fur. Also the plastic end was bitten off by my cat. Not a good thing!!

____ The Good: ___* This does work as advertised, and the movement mode where the squiggling tail causes the head to roll around is innovative.* This runs quietly, unlike some other similar toys.* Decent run time off of a single charge.* Reasonably priced compared to other self-propelled toys___ The Bad: ___* This was not a winner for our kitty, I and think that’s due to head size and tail speed* The head of this toy is a bit bigger than what he considers “prey”. A little bit smaller would have been better for him.* And the tail moves faster than I would like, when the head is standing upright and still, this flips around like a whip, which scared our kitty from getting close — and I think his choice was smart there. An option for a slower speed would be much appreciated.

Fun for kitty
Ok. So when I first turned this on for my cats they were fairly skeptical and a bit weary of this shaking alien. Five minutes later they were batting at it and playing it. It goes on and off with the shaking so while off they played and chewed and when it went off again they jumped. My one definitely tried getting it when it was moving its pink tail. I will say one star off because he does like to get hold of the tail and pull and it comes off when he gets a bit aggressive. It’s rechargeable which is awesome. I will also say the rubber material will get cat hair stuck on it but honestly not too bad. My cats have few toys they actually enjoy and this is one they like. Recommended.

Lots of fun
The tail whips around and, at first, my boys were spooked but they soon started batting and smacking it. This is a toy that’s fun for me to watch them play and hunt it.

Gets stuck in cat fur. Cats were interested but also were eating the tail. Only under supervision.
One can only use this when watching the cat and the tail gets stuck in the fur of my cat with longer fur which absolutely freaks him out. The kitten started eating the tail, as it is similar to the silicone that hair bands are often made from. They were interested in it, but this is a toy that they can only play with when I am watching them ready to step in and remove it if they chew on it or it get stuck. It also does not restart once it goes into rest mode easily.** So what I did was cut off the tail so there was just a stub left, then I used a safety pin to attach a feather or worm toy to the end. This does not get stuck in their fur and they like it.

My cats LOVE this toy
My cat’s have several toys but my cats love this toy. it will go and stop occasionally which keeps them interested and engaged. If it gets knocked over it will move all over the house so I keep this toy in a box to keep it contained

Very noisy and whips around too hard
I thought my cats would enjoy this toy. It took a long time to charge up. I secured it in an upright position. It is very noisy which made the kitties a little frighten trying to walk up to it. The tail does whip around but after a while it hit the cats in the face and they did not like that. I tried to lay it on it’s side and that was only a little better. but after a few minutes they showed no interest in it and walked away. oh well, I will keep trying to find toys they like.
