Best cat box ever
The litter doesnât get all over the floor. Stays in the lid and I dump it back in the box. Really helps with cleanup. Nice color too. I think it helps with the smell to because it has a lid.

My cat loves this litter box, and so do I. The enclosure and design helps prevent litter from getting everywhere, and she feels very secure inside it. Capacity is good and it’s easy to clean. Top entry litterboxes are the best!

I like it; itâs nice and simple and helps with litter tracking. My cats went right in and had no issues acclimating to using it. It keeps my cats from kicking litter everywhere over the sides of the box. Of course you will still see some stray litter but at least it isnât a bunch all around the box everyday. My cats are not small but they fit fine. Itâs nice and sturdy. I like that I can hook the lid on the side of the box when I scoop. I am using my old scoop and havenât tried the one that came with this one. Itâs a little difficult to take off the lid and I have to use two hands to do it and unsnap one side at a time to prevent the litter that collected on the top from spilling on the floor. I dump the little bit of litter that collected on the top back into the box. Itâs still open from the top so keep in mind that if the litter smells, you will still smell it.

Easy on the eyes, but not a fit for my cats
For ages I’d seen this litter box hyped up online, and when I finally was in the market for a new box I was more excited than I should’ve been to give this one a go. I do think this is a pretty nice litter box, especially considering most look like dull grey boxes that ought to be tucked in some corner never to be looked at by polite company, but it’s not really as nice as I’d hoped it’d be. It does help a bit with litter scatter, but one of my little demons manages to jump in and out in such a way that he explode the litter against the lip as he jumps in and out anyways, and I find that the depth of the box makes it a bit more of a pain to clean than front-entry boxes. The scoop’s holes are just a teensy bit too large for the litter I use, so the clumps fall right through. The clip that latches the lid onto the box also feels a bit flimsy, which makes me nervous about having to unclip and reclip it every single day, multiple times a day…that plastic has to fail at some point, and once it does the box is basically useless. The nail in the coffin is that my smaller female cat struggles to jump up to use it sometimes, which I feel too guilty about given that the main reason I opted for top-entry was to prevent litter scattering too much, and that hasn’t quite panned out the way I’d hoped.A litter box that’s pretty but not functional isn’t worth it to me, so I’ll probably be giving away/selling this box sometime soon, unfortunately. I love how it looks, and I really can’t stress that enough.Pros:+ pretty design, would look nice in most places/designs/aesthetics+ compact+ lid does actually trap litter+ managed to fit my 13lb boy cat, so would likely work for small to medium sized catsCons:- could be too tall for smaller cats to use comfortably- scooper holes are too large for thinner pellet style litter (such as Catit’s pea husk litter)- locking clip is made of a flimsy plastic clip, which does not exactly inspire confidence. The lid is also not sold separately, so if the lid breaks that’s basically another piece destined for the landfill…- top-entry doesn’t guarantee that cats will use box as intended to prevent litter from scattering, as my cat has woefully demonstrated by jumping in and out like a bat out of hellIf this box works for you, great! It just sucks to not really have an idea of if this would or wouldn’t work for you until you’ve tried it. I’ve even previously used an Amerikat top entry litter box with my boy cat before moving house and switching boxes and had a very positive experience with it, so had high hopes for this Iris box.

Greatest litter box Iâve ever owned!
A friend recommended this type of litter box (top entry), because she recently got a similar one for her cats. She loved it and had to tell me about it. We love adopting strays that show up on our doorsteps (I think word gets around, by cats, that we have great rates, great food, and plenty of humans to spoil them), so many litter boxes are a must. Iâve had the open boxes and the ones with the door on the front side, that they love to kick litter out of. I think itâs a very popular cat sport: to see who can kick the most litter out of both types of boxes. I have two that can throw more litter out of a typical litter box than an excavator! But these champion poopy-litter-spreading kitties have finally met their match!I was hesitant to order this one (the teal and white) because the price was so good ($18.99 special). But I had to take a chance and get two. So glad I did! We have three older kittens, who are highly curious about new boxes. They couldnât wait to watch us pour new litter into these (our 5-pound tabby boy had to do his âlitter danceâ inside it) and check it out. âA box I can jump INSIDE and poop in? Genius, humans! What took you so long to figure this out?â The box is a generous size! I was afraid it would be too small, but it isnât. Our biggest cat is 15 pounds, and he can easily fit in. Sometimes they pop out and walk on the holes that allow the excess litter on their paws ð¾ to fall through. Most of the time, the kittens (almost grown) love to shoot straight up of it, like a bottle rocket, and tackle the kitten thatâs been heckling them outside the box (it doubles as a stalking toy). The litter still falls out on the mat, but not NEARLY as much as a typical front-entrance box! And the litter on top can easily roll through the holes and fall back in.My kids say itâs easy to clean (I donât clean them anymore. Retired years ago). They havenât used the provided plastic scoop, though, because I had mercy on them and finally got them a Teflon-coated metal scoop (my kids swear metal is better!). But the fact the scoop clips to the side is genius! The top comes off easily and snaps easily back in place. Oh yeah. AND Bob, the Litter Dancinâ Kitten, CANNOT kick the litter out! Whoohoo! SCORE for the crazy cat mom! And score for the kids that vacuum litter everyday!So in short, buy it! Ours arrived just fine, so I canât relate to those giving it one or two stars for arriving damaged (you send it back and rate it based on the good product, so that itâs actually a HELPFUL review to customers, people!). Our cats arenât freaked out about it and really prefer it to the old ones! We have very curious, adventurous cats, however. Great value! Great price! Save your nose, your floor, your dancing cats, and buy it!

I usually donât write reviews on Amazon, but for this one I decided to take the time to write how much I appreciate this product.We have 2 cats, so we have tried a few litter boxes.This is the best one because itâs easier to clean, itâs great to travel (car trips), it doesnât make a mess on the floor, it looks good, colours are great, itâs compact so it doesnât take a lot of space, and my cats love it!It was so great that I bought a second one to replace the litters we had at home.The only recommendation is that it works better to smaller cats, ours are approximately 3 kg each, Iâm not sure a chubby cat would fit (unless they have larger sizes).Great job! Thanks for making my life easier!
