Fantastic toy for GSD and dogs that like to play tug-o-war
We got this 6 months ago and it is our German Shepherd’s favorite outside toy. It is the first thing she runs to when she goes outside. She will try to pull it off the rope with all her strength until she eventually launches it and has to go chase it down. She’s obsessed! She is a very powerful chewer and destroys even the most durable rubber toys. It isn’t a matter of if she will destroy it, but when. This toy has lasted so much longer than other toys, even high end ‘indestructible’ toys that cost 3 or 4 times as much. After a 6 month battle with the toy, she has won. I think our main mistake was that we didn’t bring it in during the snow storms. The freezing temperatures must have made it more brittle, since we immediately noticed a crack start to form on the green ball as she played with it in the snow, which slowly spread until she we able to completely rip it off.I am definitely buying another one!A couple tips for strong chewers-Supervision is key at first for smart dogs. Our GSD quickly realized that the easiest way to get the ball is to chew through the thin bungie ropes. However, we were there to redirect her to the ball. After a few times, she stopped trying to chew through the bungie rope part. She must have realized that it is more fun to chase and pull on the ball than simply trying to solve the problem of how to get it.-Make sure the ball hung high enough up where your dog can’t casually stand there and chew on the ball or ropes with their powerful back teeth. This doesn’t mean hang it super high so they have to jump for it, but just so they can’t hold it without there being some resistance on the rope. If there is some resistance they will want to pull back instead of destructively chew.-Bring it inside during extra cold weather.

Super toy
We have an â energizer bunnyâ lab who never stops. This keeps him occupied and happy after all the grandkids and his fur sisters burn out. Easy to set up.

Must be supervised
I couldn’t get my dogs interested when I was out trying to play with them, left this up when going back inside; as I’m sure you’ve guessed by now when I came back out the rope had been shredded and the ball was gone. Weeks later and the ball is still in one piece so cheers to the quality of such. The idea was awesome and may have been great if I could have stayed out and watched them play full time or maybe if I just had one dog but in my situation it just didn’t play out that well.

Wonderful
Our one yr old Bull Mastiff cross is big and full of energy. She is always looking for something to do! This is a huge hit. She loves it. She is laying at my feet right now worn out which is rare from playing so hard with this toy. Everyone in the house is laughing cause she wears us out normally.

Id buy again but
It was not very durable when i let my blue healer at it he nibbled the ropes off just to get the ball the other pitbulls wouldnt have thought of doing that and had fun but will definitely buy again for my other dumb dohs that play with the ball not eat the rope to get to the ball.

This tugger is great except
So the tree tugger is great but wish it had a better way of connecting the ball as my dogs while exited bite and they get snagged on it and it breaks eventually

My Dog Loves It!
So far so good! The Jolly Pets Tree Tugger appears to be well made. I believe it will hold up to plenty of ‘ruff’ play. Most importantly, my dog loves it and I believe he will use it.

It works
Easy to put up. Dog does play with it.Reason it doesnât get five stars is that the ball is too big for medium dogs. I have a 40lb min aussie and the ball is too big. However it is easy to take off the ball ad put your dogs favourite pull toy on instead.

Itâs been outside in the tree for two summers and the dogs still play with it. Strong and sturdy.

My two labradors absolutely adore this toy. In their first play they got thoroughly exhausted with it, which was great on a drizzly winters day. However, quite often they didnât want to hold the ball in their mouth, but tugged on the cord, which I suspect given time will fray and snap. Do you supply replacements? Or else Iâll go and get some strong cord from the hardware shop to replace it eventually. But otherwise I absolutely loved it and so did they!

This great for tug of war. We attached it to our fence and the puppies have a great time playing with it.

Our 9 year old German Shepherd is having a wonderful time playing on his own with the ball on the stretchy line. He figured out the challenge in a few minutes – lots of fun for tug of war too! Very well made.
