Great builders for kids
I got these for you younger child. He loves to build but legos are still a bit too advanced. This was great for his hand to eye coordination. My only issue is that as he doesn’t like to share, he will hit his sister if she tries to join him. The blocks are hard. I was able to easily clean them but they do get dirty after awhile. Overall, these are great to keep him occupied and interested.

Great gift option for the budding engineer
Really happy with this block set. No coarse edges (worried about splinters for the young ones, especially my 1 year old that puts everything in her mouth) and easy to grasp with their little fingers.As others have noted they do have a bit of slip to them, but will wear over time.

Lovely wooden blocks
What a nice block set! I appreciate both the number, and the variety, of blocks, including flat squares, cubes, rectangular prisms, cylinders, semicircles and arches, plus my favorites pieces, the cones and pyramidal prisms. (So fun for making castles.)I like that they’re real wood, and free from paint or chemicals. There was no unpleasant odor when I opened the package, and I didn’t observe any blocks that had fissures, rough spots, splinters, etc.A couple of things to keep in mind:–The blocks fit closely into the manufacturer’s box, but this may be suboptimal when it comes time for clean-up, because it would be time-consuming to sit there trying to arrange everything just so, so that the lid closes properly. A somewhat roomier box would have been better so that the blocks could just be tossed in hurriedly and without issues.–The cones and pyramids both come to points which were surprisingly sharp. For a children’s toy, I would have expected a more rounded, blunt tip.Bearing these caveats in mind, I still recommend this product as a fun activity, and very well-made.

Bought for my son, he loves it
I used to have a very similar set of blocks when I was a kid, and I wanted my son to have the same thing I grew up playing with. The blocks are super sturdy, and the set all together is pretty heavy. They feel quality like something I played with in the 80s. My son likes to play with them, and is just starting to learn stacking and building, so I am happy to see him try and figure out how to play with these. Really like this set.

Nice classroom set
100 piece natural wood building blocks set is nice. As described, these are unfinished, natural, sanded, solid wood pieces. Many corners are rounded and there are small pieces included. Not intended for very young children. I would say 3-6 year olds would be a good age to enjoy these. Now if you are a classroom teacher and have the standard unit blocks set for your classroom, these are a different scale entirely. I would guess a normal rectangle unit block is about 5+ inches or more and these are less than half that size. These would make a nice add on set to your standard unit blocks. I added a couple 2 1/2″ peg people for size reference in the pictures. This set has some unique shapes that a standard set would not have. The cones and pyramids are a nice bonus. These blocks are perfect for playing small world with little figures. You can make castles, bridges and trees just the right size. Good purchase.
