Our cat loves it, especially the lasers
This toy is definitely “Maximus Approved!” Our Max loves it, especially the laser lights, which can be focused in a range of wide to tight circles. We used this on a pretty bright indoor day, so at first he didn’t even notice the laser lights. He was focused on the feather wand in the top of the owl’s head. In another room, a darker room with a carpet, he immediately saw the laser lights and lasered in on those with 100% focus. As cats are obsessed with lasers, even when we turned off the laser to encourage him to play with the feathers, he kept looking for the lasers. A little encouragement got him back to playing with the feathers. (We tend to think lasers can break a cat’s brain through overstimulation and frustration, so we try to mix the intangible {lasers} with the tangible {feathers and such}.)The base clicks on pretty easily, and comes off relatively easy as well. I was worried it would break taking it off, but it didn’t. While the unit does have some weight to it, it did get knocked off pretty easily when Max was focused on the feathers. Didn’t take much to grab or bite the feathers and pull the toy over onto its side. So with the wand, it needs a little supervision. The lasers are probably more hands-free mode.I think this is a toy that just about any cat will love.

Remote, Cat can reactivate in a generous amount of time, lights, and feather toys!
I like that it comes with an extra toy attachment. The wand for the toys allows you to bend it, my kitten liked the toy close to the ground. The slider attachment on top of head is for how far the red lights are hitting the floor from the unit. My kitten preferred the close in lights. The battery lasts a long time on one charge, it goes to auto standby without activity, but you can turn it off easily earlier with the remote, and will still stay in standby for several hours, then it goes full off (no dim green light, which means standby). The only thing I didn’t like is that when the red lights are on, you get both lights, a beam and a butterfly, projected right next to each other. I would have preferred the option to select one or the other.I would recommend for active kittens and cats, just get the feather toy attachment at their preferred height level and watch them go.

Kitty likes it well enough for shorter periods
Kiki has a pretty intense addiction to laser pointers but only for a limited time. She also enjoys her feather toys, also for a short amount of time. This combines both with some odd movement and it will keep her interests for a solid 10 to 15 minutes, give or take. She has learned that if she swipes the egghead hard enough, she can knock it over and she seems to just love that for some reason (she’s kinda a jerk, so that tracks). It was easy to get it set up and started, and the remote is a nice touch. I’m glad we got this, and would recommend it to others who have playful cats, even if they’re jerks

    Not Very Appealing
This isn’t a very interesting toy for my two cats. I’ll tell you right away, my cats, Bast and Thor, are “mature” cats, but they don’t know that and still get the zoomies and play quite often and vigorously, so I’m letting you know to avoid any dismissal you may have of this review. After unboxing, I charged up the digital kitty and according to the directions, I made sure to keep the first opportunity for them to play on the lower of the two speed settings. I set up the “in head” feather toy, added the base for stability, grabbed the remote and set down the digi-cat in the living room to watch my cats play. That’s when the problems started. The remote didn’t work. To that end, I started up the cat manually (then the remote started to work) and adjusted the laser pointer butterfly while my cats just stared at the weird object invading their space. This toy is designed to do a few things: it spins the head around. It has a feather wand. It shoots a laser from its eyes and…its ears light up and flash for some reason? My cats stared at it for a good three minutes before both approaching it warily. Bast finally got close enough for the feather wand to hit her in the head a few times; she was not interested in the wand at all. She didn’t even swat it. What they found appealing was the laser butterfly but after chasing it for about a minute, they both grew bored and walked away.Overall, this might be a great gadget for a younger cat, but they claim it’s great for cats of all ages and my two fluffbabies would definitely have to snottily disagree. Not worth it.3/10~Rev. They just stare at it
This review is for the KINGTOP brand spinning laser shooting feather wand waving cat toy thing.I had been wanting to get one of these for a while to help entertain my cats and try to keep them out of trouble (good luck with that), so when I saw this I knew I had to get it.First of all, read the instructions. Getting the remote to work requires a specific sequence of events that is clearly outlined in the instructions. Read them.Once set up, the toy does exactly what it is supposed to do, and behaves exactly as expected. The problem is, my cat’s just sat in a circle around the toy about two or three feet away from it, staring at it and sniffing the air. They looked at the laser light moving around the floor, but none of them went after it despite all enjoying laser pens. None of them were the least bit interested in the feather wand. Eventually one of them started licking itself and another one laid down and closed her eyes.In short, the cat toy functions properly, my cats just weren’t interested in it.

    Cat Toy
This is one of my favorite items for my cat that I’ve got off of amazon. First off, the battery lasts for hours on hours, and it doesnt take long at all to charge it. I can leave it run all night for my cat and it’s still going in the morning. I also like that if the cat isnt interacting with it, it’ll pretty much go into sleep mode and once the cat touchs it, it turns right back on, and when I plug it in to charge it my cat will sit and stare at it until i unplug it and turn it back on for her. Seriously this thing is great for cats.
