Customers say
Customers find the pet toy durable and suitable for tugging, fetching, and chewing. They appreciate its size and fun for their dogs. However, some customers mention it’s not suitable for aggressive chewers due to the rope fraying or being ripped into shreds after a few days of play. There are mixed opinions on its durability and value for money.

almost indestructible – updated
This was a replacement for the first toy that my german shepherd granddog didn’t destroy immediately. I was disappointed when we couldn’t find one locally but happy to find it on Amazon and cheaper than the original. If you have a strong dog that likes to chew and play fetch, this is an excellent toy. it took him 6 months to tear up the first one!Updated Feb 9, 2013Still going strong after 5 months of rough play. It’s starting to show a little wear but I think it might outlast the first one which made it 6 months. And most toys don’t make it 6 days.Updated Nov. 1, 2013. We’re on our third one. Still haven’t found a toy that outlasts this one. We are a bit calmer now that we are getting older, and the last one held out for nine months or so.

Don’t Believe Negative Reviews! This Is NOT A Chew Toy & Company States That!!
UPDATE: DO NOT buy into all the negative reviews for this toy – it is NOT meant to be a chew toy; it’s designed to be a ‘toss & fetch’ toy, and my dog has had his for TWO YEARS and not even a single string off of it! He has other toys we give him that are specifically designed (and stated in product description) for chewing on; this isn’t one of them. The description CLEARLY states, this toy is for ‘toss & fetch’ play. Don’t blame the people that can’t or don’t read before buying and leaving this toy with the dog to chew up. My dog would chew it up too, if we left it with him to chew, but WE DON’T, because it’s a ‘TOSS & FETCH’ toy!!This is one of my dog’s favorite toys!! He loves to fetch, so this is very easy to toss (not too heavy, but extremely well made; tough material), but strong enough to put up with some serious tugging. Even the loose strips on the ends are made of incredibly durable material, and my fur baby will chase/tug with this for hours. Well worth the money!!

WRONG PRODUCT SHIPPED
I ordered the Kong Tugga Wubba for my 7 month old Golden Retriever after she played with one at another dog’s house. She absolutely loved it and did not tear it up at all after 3 weeks.HOWEVER, I ordered one from here, the exact same Kong Tugga Wubba with squeaky middle, etc. I did NOT receive this item. I received a Kong Tugga Wubba with a rope middle, something I would not have ordered ever because my golden likes to tear up ropes. I decided not to deal with the hassel of returning it over such a small amount of money. By the end of the day, the toy was torn up and ruined. I wish I would have received the item I actually ordered.Highly disappointed. Be careful.

Almost Pitbull Approved….
This is a good toy. Strong material. The center squeaking part requires a tough squeeze, great for my Pitbulls. The ends came apart after 3 weeks. It wasn’t due to normal play, one of the dogs is an aggressive chewer. I wasn’t home to see it, but shortly after the ends were ripped the center plastic piece came right out.I would give this 5, but I really feel like the stitching on the ends could have been a bit better. It’s difficult to find tough toys that will last long with dogs that like to play and chew, but this toy beat most and I would recommend as it is a nice dog toy.

Not tough enough…
My dogs loved this toy to death. Literally.I received it from Anazon on Tuesday. It’s Saturday now, and it’s just a shadow of its former self. The flaps are all gone, and the center, tougher section is frizzed. I bought the extra large version for my year-old Pit Bull, and he just loved it. I bought a bunch of different toys in that shipment–so far, the West Paw tug toy has held up to tons of abuse and suffers no ill effects. See it here– http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004A7X22W/ref=oh_details_o06_s00_i03?ie=UTF8&psc=1I also bought the Tug O Rope (here: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004HSN4FY/ref=oh_details_o06_s00_i02?ie=UTF8&psc=1 ) which has also stood up to similar abuse.I bought the Kong Ultra Black in extra large, too–these hold up, but they all get bored with them, even with the cookies inserted.I hope this review helps out :)Certainly we have a special-situation with a big boy (85 pounds) Pitty baby, so if yours isn’t as rough on toys, it’s a good toy. I think my beagles, if left only to their own with this, would not have loved it to death, but rather just loved it.

Most excellent
So far, my 8 month old, 105 pound Newfoundland puppy is a master destroyer of all things, including all of the “indestructible” toys like the Kong Extreme (BTW: NOT indestructable). She’s had this for 6 months and I just had to lay it to rest yesterday and order a new one. Maybe 6 months doesn’t sound like a lot to other people, but to me, it’s borderline miraculous. I will say though, it only lasted this long because she saves her concentrated chewing for her rubber and plastic toys, which she pretty effectively annihilates on a regular basis. This she merely carries around, fetches and tugs. This is a product that I would highly recommend and it’s a toy that my Newf would definitely miss if it weren’t replaced…it’s practically her favorite toy.To address any preceding or proceeding reviewers bemoaning the fact that their dog chewed this to pieces, let me just say that This. Is. Not. A. Chew. Toy. It says so in the product description. This is a “tug and toss” toy. Of course your Pitbull or GSD (or whatever) ripped it to shreds after chewing on it for 10 minutes, because that is not what this product was meant for. It’s longevity depends more on your dog’s personal chewing habits than anything else. If your dog doesn’t like to tug or play fetch with it’s toys and just immediately goes to town trying to destroy whatever toy is given to it, this toy will be ruined. That doesn’t mean that this is a bad toy, it means it’s not being used as it’s meant to be.Also, there is no such thing as an indestructible dog toy. My Newf chews on the fire hydrant in front of our house and it’s no worse for the wear. If you’re looking for indesructible, I’d recommend a fire hydrant.

I hadn’t seen this design before but my dog already loves his Kong Wubba – it is the only thing still in (almost) one piece as he rips most things – so I had to try it.Well this item is twice as good as the standard Wubba for him as he is fascinated by the tails and working to detach them from the body and this toy has twice the tails! The squeak feels robust and so far it is standing up well to the attentions of a terrier, he has ‘killed’ two of the tails but I just stitched them back on so good as new.If you have a dog who is very tough on toys I would recommend this item.

Wie alles von “Kong” hat auch der Tugga Wubba eine gute Qualität und der Vierbeiner hat lange freude daran.Das beste Spielzeug für (groÃe) Hunde.
