Worked on Great Pyrenees
I didn’t known what shedding meant until we welcomed a Great Pyrenees to our family. Since then I’ve been trying different grooming tools. I always avoided slicker brushes because they looked painful. Until I got a grooming vaccum and noticed the slicker attachment worked well, despite the pins being too short to reach his undercoat. I decided to try one with long pins. In only a couple minutes it took a lot of hair, and seemed to help with the slight matting of his undercoat. And no mess. When I use a rake on him I end up with hair everywhere, but not with this kind, all the Pyr glitter stayed on the slicker brush. My dog actually seemed to enjoy it and the cats certainly did and would not let me stop brushing them. I can’t compare with others, but this was comfortable on my hands and effective with hair removal.

Iâm really like this brush but I think it may not be suitable for a doodle with a very thick coat .Works great with a lighter coat as the pins arenât very firm to get through some of the doodles with thick tangled hair.I do recommend it though for other breeds .Great price .

Gently Gets the Job Done!
This brush fits nicely in your hand. The overall size is great. The many bristles are long enough to get through the fur of a thick-haired puppy/dog yet slender so they are super gentle. It’s a brush you can use for a young pup to an adult dog.

Not the large I was looking for
So, our dog is over 100# and, as a Great Pyrenees mix, sheds excessively. I was looking for a slicker brush with a large paddle. This is not that brush. It’s not really any larger than any other slicker we’ve had. However, the extra long pins have proven useful for removing the tufts of fluff and the loose undercoat, so we are very satisfied with how functional this brush turned out to be.
