Love this, I strap to the front of harness
This product the only of its kind, and was actually what I was looking for! I didn’t want to put an additional collar on my dog while she plays at the dog park at night and instead wanted something I could strap to her harness. The light is bright, with two settings (no flash and flashing), the button it large and easy to push, but not so easy that other dogs change the setting while playing.
My only gripe is how delicate the velcro is. So sometimes it does get pulled off by dogs who play extra rough. The velcro is very soft/fine and the strap is rather thin. I have to take this on/off during the day to night, and it also gets dirty, so the effectiveness of the velcro diminishes. If the product is set in place and not constantly removed, I don’t think this would be as much of a problem. I do think that if the straps were slightly longer, it would give more to attach to and help secure it more on a variety of sized harnesses and leashes.
It’s a little unclear how long the battery will last, as the packaging and this product page vary.

Visibility in the dark
Itâs not rechargeable since it takes a coin battery replacement. I love the brightness since we live in an area that is not well light at nights. On the video, you will see 4 dogs with a light collar but only 3 of them have the LaRoo light collar but on their leash (blue, orange, and green). I only use the lights at night so I remove them from their leash. After the second use, the Velcro started losing its strength to stay strapped on. For the most at least one end would work. I eventually cut the Velcro off and changed it with a better one.
Besides the Velcro, I love the visibility and the versatility of being able to attach to the leash or collar, or even wear it on my wrist of biceps(with new Velcro I replaced it with).

Not the sturdiest light up collars, but good for the price and very bright
I have a couple active dogs who like to roam a bit – They have collar-based GPS trackers but I like having bright LED collars to keep an eye on them at night without having to pull out the phone. Since the GPS is built into the collar, I like to use the quick-connect lights rather than replacing the entire collar.
These lights are very bright and work well, but they aren’t super sturdy. I would estimate they last 3ish months before needing to be replaced or start to fail. One of mine right now still works but had a loose wire I had to clip so it’s only a matter of time before it needs to be replaced. But at thirteen bucks, it’s a good price/performance trade-off.
I had one that arrived DOA and the support was super responsive, so if you want to deal with product returns, it’s a no brainer.

Great for my dog walks
This is a great buy. Well made and fit easily around our dog leashes. I feel well seen in our nightly dog walks. Easy to turn on & off. Not sure of battery life since we just purchased them

Sucked for 2 months then died
I ended up having to safety pin this to my dogâs leash because the velcro was such garbage that it either bunched up or fell off. After 2 months of being a pain I noticed it had gotten dramatically dimmer and then the next day it didnât work at all. The battery was supposed to last much longer.
I donât recommend this product. Iâd just buy a light up leash or collar instead.

Bright and piercing
These lights are great, better than I had expected, and perfect for our evening walks. I have them positioned on our harness one point slightly below and one pointing upwards I’ve also tried them on the leash. The straps to secure it make it easy to adjust and move around as needed with plenty of variety.

Almost Perfect
I bought this to use on early morning walks with my black lab. I havenât found a use for the strobing feature, but otherwise, I really like this light. Itâs visible, but the orange isnât as harsh as some of the other color choices. The one thing I would change is the attachments. They are very fine velcro and donât stay attached in the long-run. I ended up replacing them with zip ties instead. A sturdier Velcro wouldâve been perfect.
