The blinking sides and the wide flood light
To the reviewers complaining about the one button for the lights you really need to read the manual. Push and hold for 2 secs turns on or off the main light. A short click cycles through the light on the sides. Each short click either changes the side or turns the side off. The 16 ft is perfect for evening walks. It’s very smooth I like the nylon. The handle is very comfortable. It was extremely easy to operate and very easy to see where my dog did her business. No more fumbling around with my iPhone camera. Love it!After having this leash for a few weeks I still love it and use it all the time. My other 26ft leash hardly gets used anymore. The 16ft is easier to manage with my speedy corgi. A little less yard roaming too. I highly recommend it. The position of the spot beam is perfect and also projects quite far. Great purchase. Leash recoil is also really good.

Locking hook arrived broken
I’m not sure if the threading inside got stripped or damaged, but it is extremely difficult to twist the locking hook up for it to lock and to untwist is takes even more strength. Bummer because it’s cute and the light is what I was looking forward to, but with the lock being broken like this it’s a hassle. Will be returning

The light is bright.
My first impression when I opened the box was WOW this is huge! You can see in one of the images that it’s larger than my hand. It’s heavier than I expected it to be and the clip sticks (see the video I posted). I’m hoping it will break in. I don’t know what the purpose of it screwing locked is, I mean I guess if you have a Houdini dog that can unclip its self from a leash it will come in handy. I also don’t know what the purpose of the lights on the side of the leash are other than it looks cool and it’s fun. I suppose if you’re walking on a road or in a populated area at night it will help cars to see you. There is a little bar type thing (see my last images) on the bottom back end that I can’t quite figure out its purpose. You can see in my last image that the clip is able to hook onto it… perhaps to hang a poop bag holder from or something of that sort. That’s most likely what will do with it. The leash pulls out smoothly and doesn’t seem to tangle I only took the dog out on it for a few minutes to try it out and snap some pictures for this review so if that changes I will update. It’s a solid leash overall. I really love the spotlight feature. It’s really bright and shines as far as it needs to. As far as the dog goes and then some. I like that my dog is always lit up and I can see him. It has a decent coverage area, big enough for my dog as you can see from the images. He is a10-12 pound Havanese. It charges with a c-port charger which is nice don’t have to worry about batteries. I wish the charging cord was a little bit longer though. It’s only about 12” long. I haven’t charged it yet so I’m not sure how long it takes to charge nor do I yet know an approximation of how long the charge lasts. You can push the button on the top of the leash to stop it from pulling and it has a slide to lock feature to maintain a specific length all of which operate smoothly with one hand. Overall it’s a decent leash.

Heavy, pointless.
You’ll have to charge it often. That’s because the flashlight is very powerful. However, I don’t need a narrow beam of light powerful enough to bleach the paint off the house down the street, I just need something to help me clean up after my dog. So a wide, less intense light would work much better.Preferably, the light wouldn’t be below the leash, as well. Because on this, the leash dangles down in front of the light, defeating the whole purpose.For something so large and heavy, you’d think the leash itself would at least be decent. But it’s thin and badly made, and not very long, despite the bulk. Your dog will bite right through it, if they’re so inclined.I’d have given it one star, but it works in the most basic sense of the word.

This leash is awesome – take it from me.Very comfortable in the hand although with all the features it is slightly heavier than my other simple backup one. Great features!
