Works well
Overall works well. A little heavy as a collar and the leash part is a bit short. The leash doesnât pull out as easily as Iâd hoped, especially for my dog that doesnât pull much. But it works as described.

Very short Leash
This item arrived well packaged. I liked that the color is bright, however the Leash is very short like it is meant for a child to walk the dog and it’s not very long either. Well it’s still an option if I don’t want wrestle my dog to put her harness on.

Love this!
I absolutely despise retractable leashes (due to a few awful experiences when them on foster dogs). So I wasn’t sure how well I would like this Lesypet 2 in 1 Retractable Dog Leash Collar. I ordered it for my incredibly docile, well behaved Bassador, who can be completely trusted off leash. It may not be ideal for some people’s situations. However, it has been a perfect solution for enabling my dog to be off leash, without dragging her leash or me having to secure it around her neck. It’s a tad bit bulky, but she doesn’t seem to notice. The size Large fits her 17″ neck perfectly, with plenty of room to adjust it larger or smaller. The lead is only about 3ft, which hasn’t been a problem, since I usually only pull the leash out when I need her to remain in place. Keep in mind that, due to the design, there is no locking mechanism. So the leash always has tension when using it. And the leash can snap back and possibly startle/hurt the dog if it slips out of your hand. The easy fix is to always place your hand through the leash handle, rather than simply gripping it. On a positive note, if it does get loose, the consequences are far less severe than when the retractable leashes with the plastic housing slip out of your hand. I’ll never use another retractable leash (with plastic housing). But I’m loving this thing!Note: It has a sturdy D ring for tags and the cover is easily removed for cleaning.

It’s alright
TLDR: I don’t know, it works, and I’m gonna use it, but it’s awkward and I think you may be better off finding one of the cheapo mini retractable leashes they have on here and just keeping it clipped to your dogs collar. So I have well trained dogs, well enough that they get mistaken for service animals, so a leash/collar like this excited me cause it meant I could let them go with a leash already on without it tripping them. (Side note, you REALLY should not get this if your dog has no leash training.) And this does that job, but it’s kind of awkward on their necks and the sound of it as it goes seems to weird them out a little. And, while I think it might loosen up with time, it also has a bit more tension than it needs. Which is a little confusing for my dogs, because that much pressure to them means to follow it (leash training, basically). Also, the leash itself catches on the fabric covering the mechanism, so sometimes you have to yank on it (and the dog) a little to get it to come out. It’s not a bad product, it’s just kind of…”meh’
