Works great
This retractable lease is so easy to use. It stays locked, and is easy to unlock. I have small hands so this small, lightweight handle is perfect. There have been some walks that I would like a longer length on the lease, but for the most part the length is perfect. I probably should have ordered a bigger leash since my dog is really a medium dog. The leash is pretty durable and has been strong enough for my dog and the constant pulling.

Nice retractable leash
This leash works very well for our small dog. It is indeed lightweight and cute. The whale design is a nice touch and the handle is easy to hold. The material of the leash itself feels very strong. The retracting strength is good and itâs easy to keep it taut. The locking button works great and is easy to engage. This keeps the leash fixed at its current length. The maximum length of 10 feet works well for us. Itâs a great little retractable leash for the price.

So much better than a static leash!
My golden retreat for recently had a litter of 10 puppies and every one of them when they see something that they’re interested in will run full speed to try to get to it. If you have a static leash then this can hurt their little necks and research has shown that using a collar can cause damage to a dog salivary and thyroid glands. With a leash reel, you have much more control and can reduce the impact of a puppy running at full speed to sniff a blowing leaf for example. In addition, since the reel picks up any slack, the puppies have their feet tangled up far fewer times than without one. This reel does a really good job of pulling up the slack without pulling too hard. It has a break that lets you fix the length of available leash for the puppy so that you can keep it within a defined area. I highly recommend this product over a standard leash.

Smooth and light leash, if a little short
Although this leash only allows your pet to get 10 feet from you, it’s nice that the handle is truly lightweight, and the leash is smooth on the release. The clip holds well too. The plastic isn’t the most attractive, but it works. And it’s comfy to hold. Overall pleased.

This is a good retarctable leash, and just the right size for my partner’s Chihuahua and Chiweenie. Not breaking any new ground, so to speak, but seems to be a decent quality at a good price

Decent lead for small pets
I bought this to use for my (currently) 7lb puppy. Worried the tension might make her feel it pulled some, but she never reacted any different from her normal lead, so no worries there after all. the lead ribbon is very thin, hence why this should be used for small animals only. Unfortunately my puppy thinks she should be walking herself, not me walking her, so she wants to grab the lead in her mouth. Everyone (including me) thinks it so cute watching her proudly walk herself, so I have been allowing it. However with the thin ribbon this has, I am worried her teeth will soon wear through it. But there are times I need a longer lead that won’t tangle, so hopefully the ribbon will last.

Cute design for a functional leash
We’re using this with a harness for our 5-month old kitten. It’s working great, and will definitely still work when he’s full grown. It wouldn’t work for a rottweiler, but it’s plenty strong enough for a small to medium size dog, or any size cat.The whale design is cute, and the softish rubber handle is comfortably ergonomic. The buttons to lock and unlock the leash are simple to use. I especially like the thin, black nylon leash line because it doesn’t stand out as much as other white lines when we take pictures of our adorable kitten.There are longer retractable leashes, but 10 feet seems to be the standard, and I can see why. It’s the perfect length for our, and probably most people’s, needs.Very happy with it.

Perfect for a squirrel – maybe not your dog
I bought this leash, advertised for small dogs and cats, but honestly, itâs better suited for a squirrelâor maybe a gerbil. The clasp is tiny, barely big enough to fit over my dog’s D-ring, and the handle is so small I can only squeeze in three fingers. Not the most comfortable for anyone with normal-sized hands!And donât even get me started on the design. For some reason, itâs shaped like a whale. Why? I have no idea. Who thought a whale would make a good design for a dog leash? Save yourself the trouble unless youâre leashing up a pet squirrel or simply need a laugh.
