This fun, inclusive board book celebrates the one thing that makes every family a family . . . and that’s LOVE.
Love is baking a special cake. Love is lending a helping hand. Love is reading one more book. In this exuberant board book, many different families are shown in happy activity, from an early-morning wake-up to a kiss before bed. Whether a child has two moms, two dads, one parent, or one of each, this simple preschool read-aloud demonstrates that what’s most important in each family’s life is the love the family members share.

love this book!
This book doesnât outwardly give you language to describe other families, which I actually love! It SHOWS you what love is in a family (showing up, helping, etc) and displays a variety of family types. 🙂 you can choose to explain or ask prompting questions, but for me, itâs been easy to show my sons that this page has two mommies, this page has two daddies, this page has a mommy and a daddy like us, this page has a grandma. And itâs normalizing all types in the process. We read this all the time with my little boys. â¤ï¸

My baby’s favorite book
We have two of Sophie Beer’s books (the other is Kindness Makes Us Strong) and my 11-month-old asks to read them every day. He loves the simple language and colorful pictures, and I love the welcoming messages and baby-resistant pages.

We love this author
We love this author, and have multiple of these books! Itâs a great way to explain that love makes a family, not necessarily just a mom and dad!

This book was banned in my kidsâ school district which angered me so I decided to order it. Wonderful book representing all families.

I just love these books! The message is so sweet and important, but also subtle. Her art is just the cutest and actually the #1 reason I keep buying her books. I love the details in the drawings, it gives my little babe a lot to talk about

This board book is great for toddlers and pre school age kids as they can’t tear the pages. A heartfelt story describing the many ways that families interact with their children to show them love. And illustrates that families come in different sizes and colours and backgrounds.
