Great play mat, easy to set up but takes forever to dry. I used distilled water, which I’ve read helps to deter mold. There are no instructions aside from fill with water and blow up. The product page has more information, but most people won’t think to check it.

Easy to set up, engaging for baby
This tummy time mat has a bit of a plastic smell to it but hopefully it will go away more as it airs out, also it can easily be washed with soap and water to help. It’s easy to fill the center part with water- it holds a lot! I didn’t fill it completely full, just enough for the foam shapes to easily float. The outer portion inflates with air and doesn’t take much so it’s quick and easy to do. Mine hasn’t leaked yet even though I’ve laid my weight on it and pressed all around on it, although it is plastic so it could eventually leak water or air. I may use it outside in case of leaks just to be safe, but it’s really cute and very engaging for babies, especially ones that may not love tummy time and need a little extra distraction! You could also fill this with slightly warm or cool water depending on the weather to warm up or cool baby off a bit and make it more enjoyable. It’s reasonably priced and if taken care of and dried out well in between uses there’s no reason this wouldn’t last a long time and be able to be passed down to another baby to enjoy 🙂

Nice tummy time fun
This tummy time water mat is nice because it has a blow-up air chamber around the edges which helps you to place your child partially on the mat… put the air pillow under his/her chest. It helps to prop them up a bit so they are higher than the water mat so they can look down on the water, pictures, and the floating things. The floating things are a nice bright color and have interesting shapes. The only thing I found with them is that they tended to get stuck to each other and to the top if there were any air pockets. I had to work to get out any air pockets and even then, the floating things stuck to each other often. I think I will put some large glitter in the water the next time I use it since I can see that this would be a great visual to actually see the water “move” more than just a few floating things. No leaks. I still put a towel under it since I couldn’t help but get a bit of water on it from filling it up.

Smell is very strong
Its smell is very strong, I don’t know if it’s from the plastic or the paint used in it. The whole room has this strong smell, I don’t have the courage to put my 3-month-old baby on it due to the smell. It’s been 5 days since I received it and the smell is still strong.

Experiential toy, wish required information had been included
This is a cute way for babies to experience water without getting wet.It is colorful, the size is good and the floating toys are attention grabbers.I took a star off because the outer part wasn’t super easy to blow up (although it was easy to deflate) and because the “Easy Set Up” instructions on the box (first image – picture) are incorrect, if you compare them to the “Installation instructions” on the product page (2nd image – screenshot). Filling the water part it a 1/3 is not the same as being told to Fill, and the need to change water and to use vinegar would be important for moms to know, especially if they are given this as a present for their baby — and they won’t if all they have is the box to go by. This could be easily remedied by including an insert in the box.
