Mr. Peanut’s was started a few years ago while my Boston Terrier, Peanut, aka, Mr. Peanut, was going thru some late stage medical issues which led to kidney disease. Peanut had a charmed life, and I did not want his loss to be for naught. He inspired me to create a new kind of business, one which provides high quality, safe products for pets and humans alike, but also a compassionate business which gives as much as possible back to help other pets and animals of all kinds to live their lives free from harm.
Pay a Shelter Pet Forward, is the charitable “arm” of the business, and thru this program I donate products and funds to rescues, shelters and animal benefit organizations of all kinds and sizes. I regularly donate products throughout the USA but also work with organizations that distribute products and needed aid to animals all around the world, as animals do not see national manmade borders.
The business goal for Mr. Peanut’s has always been, and will always be, to help animals of all kinds live pain free lives, simple as that, from cats and dogs to livestock and wildlife. All sentient animals deserve that from humans, and I will always fight the good fight.

So far she’s much more comfortable with this
**UPDATE**This did a fantastic job! We flew southwest and the bag goes under, but sticks out slightly. We went on four flights, and she was comfortable the entire time. I actually pulled it out a little more to open the flaps and let her poke her head out at times. A tip I read somewhere was to avoid aisle seats – apparently they tend to have slightly less room underneath. I added some mor epictures to show the fit. **END UPDATE**Will update after my trip in August!So far my 7 pound pom is much more comfortable wilth this carrier than the other two we’ve been testing. The height makes entrances more inviting/spacious and less spooky and it’s pretty big, so she doesnt have to be bribed with treats. We can just plop her in without any fussing. She has great visibility through the mesh.It seems pretty stable. There is soft padding on the back floor and back (which can be extended to be more “floor” when you unzip the back). The bottom padding can be removed. NOTE: the back padding does not seem to be removable.The sides also unzip as small entrances.If you’re in a hurry and don’t have time to desensitize your pet, this may be the one for you.

Does not fit under the airplane seat
I love the design, but it did not fit under any of the 3 airplanes we took it on. The sides are so sturdy that they do not bend to squeeze them under the seat. I wonder why all of these pet backpacks can’t get the dimensions right! Most airline carriers have a maximum height of 9″

Great for international travel!
I have a 8lbs Pomeranian that I took with me internationally! I was able to open up the extension underneath my seat! He was sleeping the whole time! Also had enough room to store food and water for Him in the little side pockets! 100% recommend!

The idea of the design is great. Comfy backpack. Spacious. Expandable. The backpack does not have enough structure. It flops inward. There is not enough support. Not sure if I got a dud. Wanted to return it but waited too long.

I really liked my other Mr. Peanuts carrier (Mr. Peanut’s Gold Series Big Apple XL Expandable Soft Sided Pet Carrier), but needed a smaller carrier for our new cat, and it checks most of my boxes so far!Once taken out of its box, the backpack ended up being really big and spacious. Thereâs plenty of pockets which is nice to keep their documents all in one place, unlike the rectangular carrier that has a single small side pouch.The expandable back is a bit flimsy/lopsided as pictured, but it doesnât collapse in on them unless pressure is applied.My only big qualm with this carrier versus the rectangular one is that Iâm not able to secure it in my car as easily with the seatbelt, as the expandable area interferes with the overlap.Our tortoiseshell is about 6-7lbs and fairly small in size, and our orange tabby is 12lbs and physically larger than most cats, and both comfortably fit in either carrier.Thereâs extra support for the backpack straps when wearing it normally, one for the chest and one for the waist, which is really nice if your cat is heavier and needs some stability when walking.The removable & washable soft liner is super handy if they have any accidents too, and the liner dries pretty fast. Also thankful for the leash/harness tether clip inside the carrier to keep them secured if I want to leave a panel open for them to see out of while carrying them around.All in all, high quality materials and a reliable brand of carrier have made me a returning customer for Mr. Peanutâs!!

The item just arrived.I will keep this comment updated because I planned some travels with the new backpacks with my 2 cats.With train and airplane.I decided to buy this product because: – found no other option that is having these sizes (Because of lufthansas size rules for pets to bring it with me as carry on, 23x40x55)- is extendable (they are shy and when there are longer trips I give them in the bag food or the travel toilet)- backpack (because I had one before and turned out very convenient to travel with 2 cats like that)Pro:As soon as I received the product I prepared it and my one cat loves it already. It’s tall, she can stand and still has space. She can sleep comfortable in unextended Version.The product is solid and the ground too with some hard plate. Good quality. A bit painful for the wearer – the hard piping / zip at the bottom of the bag and the hard board base hurt my back. But it is great for small dogs.

The product is really as it is in the photo, but the seams are crooked, mainly in the part that expands, and one of the inner linings doesn’t come out to be able to wash. I do not have time to return and find another with the same size, but I was expecting more fore the price!If your dog poops inside by accident you won’t be able to to wash the whole think.
