Simple, all-natural toy that holds children’s attention
I ordered these blocks to counteract my childrens’ video game addition. I’ve been feeling like my kids are so overstimulated that they do not know how to pay attention for any length of time anymore, and they got cranky whenever I told them to turn the games off. I declared electronics-free days twice/week and hoped that my kids would spend a half hour or so after school playing in the playroom. TBH, I wasn’t sure if the blocks could hold their attention for that long. In reality, I was pleasantly surprised. My kids loved them. They invited the neighbors over and spent an entire rainy afternoon building and creating! They also like to build with mom and dad after dinner. I am one happy mom.The product itself is well made. The blocks are solid wood and are all the same size/shape. They appear to have been sanded lightly to avoid splinters. They come with a fabric, draw-string bag for storage (which is much easier at cleanup time than trying to fit them back in the box!). They do not come with specific instructions to build any particular projects, but rather with ideas to inspire building projects and games. The box shows several examples of projects to build, which got my kids going (see picture). There were enough blocks for two kids to work simultaneously in the 100-piece pack, but with more kids I would recommend the larger set.

Received our package of Brain Blox Blocks this week and my boys have been creating like crazy! They loved the simple look and feel–“Even the wood smells good, Mom!” It’s amazing to see all they have created–and how much time they’ve spent stacking/building really amazing structures!As a parent, I loved the idea of absolute pull away from electronic fun– to see them just create with their hands and imagination! My oldest dove in first–grabbing the sling bag and heading up to his room. He loved the open-ended creative construction. My youngest created his own game with the blocks– how quickly could we create a pirates’ ship complete with canons–and then break it down to restart again! It’s quickly becoming part of our daily routine–great quiet time break as well.Only request–we need MORE of these Brain Blox blocks for our family! Recommend as a perfect gift as well!

Hours of creativity without electronics!!!
We recently purchased this set of Brain Blox for my 13 year old girl and 11 year old boy! Every single day they are choosing to build with the blocks. Even their friends were interested in coming up with new creations! It is so wonderful to see their creativity bloom!!! Theyâve created marble runs and chain reactions (like dominos). I would highly recommend these to anyone who wants their kids to spend some time off of devices. Brain Blox also has a great YouTube channel and Instagram page with ideas and inspiration for projects and challenges! Your money will be well spent when you buy these!!!*We had some extra wooden pieces that they added to create a table and chairs for the house pictured.

Unplugged Fun for Parents and Kiddos together!
I love Brain Blox! As a mom to two super active little dudes, Brain Blox are so simple and yet so good– and our new favorite thing to do as a family. Brain Blox allow my kids to be creative, learn to try again or a different way when something fails, and above all else, keeps them engaged without a screen, bright lights, colors, or other over-stimulating elements, which is hard to find these days! These would make a GREAT back to school gift for a classroom and certainly an awesome birthday or holiday present for kids of all ages and interests.

Great for team building
I did a little teaching exchange program in Switzerland and the classroom used these for team building. I bought my own set to use with my 3rd grade class. One of the games challenges the group to individually build the identical structures without any talking. Requires you to go along with the group, and also be patient with others who struggle with this. So great!

4 blocks had blemishes for varying reasons like having a hole or missing a section probably from there being a knot in the wood to not being fully sanded other than those few blocks the set is great the five year old loved building the boat and deck to then becoming a sea monster and destroying it all so itâs great for imaginative play

Unleash the creativity!
My wife purchased these for our 8 yr old daughter for Christmas. I was skeptical at first, especially for the price of a bunch of simple wooden planks. Yet it has been one of the most played-with gifts. If your child enjoys Legos, Magna-Tiles, etc., then they should enjoy these as well. There’s plenty of pieces provided to build a lot of imaginative things. Considering buying another set so that she can build even more elaborate creations. The bag provided to store them seems to be pretty rugged, hoping it lasts because the set is relatively heavy.

Move over Lincoln Logs!!
I decided to purchase the 200 block set of Brain Blox for my two daughters ages 2 and 5. When the box arrived, I was very impressed with the quality and craftsmanship of each plank (not to mention the pleasant smell of pine) . They appear and feel to be individually sanded for a smooth finish with no danger of splinters and non-toxicity is a must for me as a parent of a slightly still orally curious 2 year old.My daughters immediately took them out of the box and started playing with them, making stacks and at one point what appeared to be train tracks along the length of the table. This was all without the aid of directions or a picture and for my daughter who attended a Montessori Preschool, it was right in line with the idea of self-directed play. I was watching their creativity and imagination being fostered for about half an hour. My two year old even had fun helping out them away in the handy bag that is included for storage. Iâm looking forward to the next gathering we have at our home and will know what activity to use to keep the kiddos occupied. Thanks Brain Blox for a superior and extremely educational product.
