It provides a spacious and welcoming environment for cats, even for cats with large size, allowing for a safe and smooth transition to an automated litter box. Safe to use for cats.
【Open-Top Design: Freedom and Comfort for Your Cat】Traditional cat litter boxes and side-opening self-cleaning options available in the market often have many common problems. These include overpowering and unpleasant odors and safety concerns. The M1’s open-top design provides a spacious and stress-free area, encouraging natural behavior and easy adaptation for cats of all sizes. It’s designed with your cat’s instincts and safety in mind, offering an open and welcoming space for their comfort.
【Extended Capacity for Busy Owners】 With a large capacity for both waste (11.23L) and litter (7.17L), the Neakasa M1 is perfect for pet parents on the go. It offers up to 14 days of worry-free operation, ideal for short trips away or busy schedules.
【Inclusive Design for Multi-Cat Households】 The M1 is a one-size-fits-all solution, accommodating cats from 2.2 lbs to a hefty 33 lbs. Its inclusive design and special Kitten Mode ensure even the smallest members of your feline family are catered to, making it perfect for households with multiple cats.
【Keep Your Companion Safe and Stay Connected with the Neakasa App】 The M1 automatic cat litter box is equipped with 5 pairs of infrared sensors and 4 weight sensors that accurately detect the activity of cats inside or even pressing the lower base. Any cat contact occurring during the operation will lead to a pause to ensure cats’ safety. Effortlessly monitor your cats bathroom habits, track litter levels and learn when to add litter, and remotely control operation modes at your fingertips.
【Reduced Litter Tracking for Cleaner Spaces】 Equipped with a soft, clean mat, the M1 reduces litter tracking, keeping your floors pristine. Step into a world where your cat’s cleanliness extends beyond the litter box, ensuring a cleaner, more enjoyable home for everyone.
【Self-Cleaning and “Pull and Wrap” Waste System: Hygiene Redefined】 The Neakasa M1’s self-cleaning ensures a fresh and clean environment for your cat after every use. Forget the old ways of manual scooping; embrace the ease of automatic cleanliness. Say goodbye to messy and smelly waste disposal. Great automatic box
I have 3 of these now…The first one has been working reliably for ~4 months now and the other two I’ve had for ~2 months. They boys still have the option of using several other boxes, but they seem to prefer the Neakasas for some reason. They seem large, but the actual footprint isn’t much different than the ancient automatic cleaners they replaced. The Neakasa M1 is relatively quiet and trouble free. The alerts that the app provides are useful and the tracking of use via weight is a nice addition. They didn’t have the step stool when I purchased the box, so I just got a small aerobics step that fits perfectly, but it would be nice to have the litter collection function of the Neakasa step (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0DGT9R6R2.My) only complaint would be that the low lip allows a lot of litter to be scattered out of the box (most collects on my step, so would be captured by the Neakasa version). The bags are clever and make it easy to remove the waste, but regular trash bags work fine as well. Some volume of the waste bin doesn’t really get used because the waste tends to build up at the back of the bin and thus triggers the full sensor, but one can just give the bin a good shake to level it out if you want to get a couple more days before removing the waste. The room with 2 cats will get around 2 weeks of use (they do have 1 other box that they barely use now); the rest of the house with 2 Neakasa M1s and 5 cats gets a little over a week of use (with a few other boxes for them to use)Not sure that I would purchase at the current $600 price point, but they got me at $400.Edit: it seems best to let the box sit for a while after putting the silicone stickers around the edge of the litter pad — the one I didn’t let sit until the next day came loose after a few days of use. Since I have two boys who like to stand up while peeing, I actually sealed all of them with some 2 inch waterproof tape https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07CJ268PK (there are probably cheaper tape options than the one at the link). I took the back off so that I could seal all around the pad — there are just 6 screws to remove.

Where has this been all my life?!?
I have used every self cleaning litter box out there – the common manual ones where you have a sifting tray or you roll the litter box over to not so common which looked like some kind of dump truck system you had to crank. I’ve also used all the electric ones – the rakes, the rollers, the washing litter – there isn’t a system I haven’t tried. If I wanted to depress myself I’d take a picture of the pile of money sitting in my garage in self cleaning cat box form. So many tried, so many failed. Either they were too complex, they made a huge mess, the smell was awful, they were a pain to empty, they were a pain to clean, just stopped working, they took up massive amounts of space, or the cats refused to use them. Or some combination of all of the above. But I am an inherently lazy person who loves cats and a good gadget, so when I saw this new self-cleaning box I was overcome with a Gollum like desire to own one. This would surely be the self-cleaning cat box of my dreams.Shockingly, it almost is. You still have to empty a drawer once a week or so – the poop doesn’t magically disappear – but in the month I’ve owned it, I’ve been more than pleased with the purchase. It’s very easy to set up. You just put the legs on. They’ve done proper design – you can only insert the posts in the correct place. You download the app and follow the very clear directions for pairing the box with your phone. You add your cats in the app by weight – the box will do an exact weight later, so you can just take a guess at the moment. And that’s it.There’s tons of options for set up on the box – you can turn the sound on or off, there’s a kitten mode, you can set up the time between use and clean or if you just want it to run at certain times, and a quiet time where it won’t run at all.My cats were a tad suspicious of the box that moved on its own as you can see from the picture. I didn’t run it on auto at first. I’d track when they used it – you can tell when the cats were just looking in the box and when one actually got in. And based on the length of time in the box, you could also tell if the used it or were just checking it out. Then I ran it only when I was in the room too. After about a week I started using the app to run it when I was in the next room. So the cats could hear it start and go check and see I wasn’t concerned. After a couple days of that, I put it on auto. Because the app allowed me to see they were using the box like normal, I didn’t have to worry they’d boycotted the box and found a corner in a closet. The white cat is still highly suspicious and convinced there’s a critter in there she might need to kill (she’s a mighty indoor only hunter) so she’ll check around the box while it’s running. When she tries to look in the box during the cycle, it stops and waits until she’s finished examining everything and then will continue after she’s been clear 10 seconds. It also moves very slowly and in short stages which alleviates any concern that one of them might get caught somehow.Because of the white cat’s abiding suspicion, she often digs in the litter to see if there’s something hiding in there after the cycle runs, pulling litter out of the box. But a handy mat was included with the box that allows the litter to fall into it and you can just dump it back into the box without worrying about tracking it everywhere.I can also tell by looking at the app that she will only use the box when there is light in the bathroom, so I’ve started leaving the bathroom light on for her and get her a little night light by the box. It’s really nice to be able to track things like that. The app will also tell you when the waste bin is full. With two cats that’s about every 5-6 days. The drawer is easy to access and the bags are easy to replace. You just want to make sure you don’t trap air under the bag or the box might register the bin full before it is.It doesn’t take up much more space than a regular box and you can put it really close to the wall. There are only two issues I have with the box. One is the height. My striped cat has stumpy legs and needs a small step to get in the box. The step you can buy from them is crazy expensive for what it is. The other is the bags provided for the bin don’t shut fully after they’re full. I have to put the full bin bag in another small trash bag so I can tie it closed to keep the smell down. But neither issue is overly onerous to deal with, so I’m not put out. Certainly not a big deal compared to all the positives. Is it expensive? Yes. I got mine during Prime Days and there was a good discount, but it’s still pricy. However, it totally delivers on keeping the litter box clean and the cats happy while being very easy to use. I’d make the purchase again in a heartbeat.

Best litter box and amazing customer service
After trying several automatic litter boxes over the years, the Neakasa Automatic Litter Box stands out as the absolute best. Its design is sleek, its functionality is seamless, and it has significantly improved both my cats’ comfort and my convenience. Unlike other models I’ve used, this one is remarkably quiet, easy to clean, and truly lives up to its promise of hassle-free maintenance. What truly sets Neakasa apart, however, is their exceptional customer service. I recently went through a challenging personal situation, and the Neakasa team went above and beyond to ensure that my cats and I were well taken care of. Their genuine care and support during that time meant so much to me.If you’re looking for a reliable automatic litter box and a company that truly cares about its customers, I can’t recommend Neakasa enough. It’s been a game-changer for my home and my furry family members.

Arrived yesterday.. I was very skeptical about electronic litter boxes. This is a game changer when you have cats or kittens. My kitten loves it. I love it. No smell, no messy clean ups. It is expensive but it should do my kitten his lifetime.Very easy to put together. Very easy to set up. The noise level you really don’t notice. As far as cleaning the litter, it does an excellent job. I looked today as it was used three times and I am not losing a lot of litter on the cleanups. Very satisfied customer and kitten.

I waited a long time to get a robotic litter tray, there’s almost too many options and finding one that ticked all the boxes took a while. I’ve now had this around 3 weeks and am very happy with it.We have two cats, one took to it immediately and is solely using it, unfortunately our other got putrefied of it when he saw it move and hasn’t warmed to it yet but that’s not a fault of the product just a potential risk if you have nervous cats. With the one cat using it, bags seem to last just over a week and it’s very economical in litter use. It’s remained clean and smells have got locked away well. The app is easy to use and syncs whenever your on WiFi, it can tell you the time and weight of the cat on entry and how long they stayed , you can assign cats to weight however I do find it’s not incredibly accurate on weighing the cats and certainly if you have more than one cat that are anywhere close in weight it will never be able to tell them apart. You can set cleaning interval times, from a smart setting whereby it cleans x minutes after use or just cycling through every hour or whatever it maybe. It tells you on the app the litter capacity level which I find accurate, it also says waste bin level but I’ve yet to see that say anything other than “normal” despite it then being full after the next use so I would say again that’s not to be relied upon.Overall I couldn’t really say much negative about it other than the minor annoyances mentioned above. It looks smart, operates well and if you’re concerned about safety seems good as the way it spins when cleaning, even if it malfunctioned would give the cat time to leave but obviously it has safety features so it shouldn’t move when a cats inside anyway.
