Doodle approved, but it might break
I bought this as replacement to the one I accidentally decapitated. The one I bought at Sierra was much less expensive, if you have one in your area. It won’t last forever. But it’s a great toy to shoot down a long hallway or down the stairs to keep your dog occupied when it’s raining or snowing outside. It’s one of my 50 lb golden doodle’s favorites, but he will try to destroy it when I’m not looking. I have learned to accept that I will have to replace almost all my dog’s toys at some point. He’s not gentle with his toys lol. I have accidently let it backfire and hit my face, which is great entertainment when you’re babysitting you’re niece and nephew lol. Oh what fun! Such a silly auntie! Kids will also enjoy shooting it across the hallway and then running to get it lol. Just make sure to watch them with it at first so they don’t accidentally hurt themselves (unless that’s just something I’d do lol). It feels like an okay-ish investment. I hope that helped!

My Doodle’s Favorite Toy
I need to start buying these by the dozen & keep a stock of them because my dog goes through about one a month. His sister gets it and chews on them or they would last longer, but alas, these are not meant to be used as chew toys, but toss toys. The dog they are meant for LIVES FOR ‘duck time,’ where we play fetch with this, and for that it is great. Again, on the downside, they can be destroyed very quickly by a chewer so durability only gets a 3, but for a dog that does not chew it but uses it for its intended purpose, they are great. Since my one doodle cannot live without ‘his duck’ (takes it everywhere with him), we will continue to buy these as they are destroyed.

Not Well Made
This is a great idea, but poorly executed and not well made. the head is the first thing to come off, which then exposes multiple plastic and rubber pieces that can harm your dog. Plus the wings are coated in a rubber lattice that is easily chewed off, again, posing hazard to dog. the seams, especially at head are not reinforced at all. Cut the rubber off the wings and be aware of the tubing inside that easily comes out. Thankfully our dog doesnât eat this stuff, but I know a lot of friendsâ dogs that do., which could cause choking and bowel obstruction. This is poorly designed as a dog toy. Do better Nerf

My dog loved this toy for a long time
She liked it so much I bought another one but both times my other dog would chew the heads right off. I think a dog toy should be able to be left with dogs not hidden till you play with them but I can say was a fun great toy before they broke. They fly really far. Good for fun in the house.

My Dog loves these birds
This is one of my dogs, favorite toys. My dog is kind of a cheer though, and these do not last very long. While they are still in good condition, he gets lots of play out of it, and Flies through the air about 30 feet! I usually sit on the back porch and send it off of it, and the dog goes fetching after it and brings it back. It is a lot less strain on my shoulder than throwing a ball and I can aim it a lot easier! I would recommend as long as your dog is not a chewer!

Review of Nerf Dog Large Nylon Launching Duck with Interactive Design, Blue (3473), for All Breed SizesI do Christmas shopping early. This is going to my fur (rescue) grandchildren; two German Shepherd Dogs. One (Ruger) is more toy driven than the other (Karma, the white one), but they both will enjoy playing with this. I like the ability to launch it. Hold the rope in one hand and there is a place for your thumb of the other hand just under the duckâs bill to pull the neck and let go of the rope. I just hope it holds up for a while. I donât like the rope part in particular, but this will be a toy that is played with while they are supervised. Rope toys can be chewed into stringy pieces that are swallowed and not easily passed. The whole toy does feel durable, including the rope. But I still feel it is best supervised so our beloved dogs donât shred and ingest the rope. I will update this review if the toy fails to meet my expectations. Minus ½ star for rope. So, 4 ½ stars from me.

The flying duck is now a dead duck
Toy was super fun for my dog for about a month. Easy to slingshot, fun for him to fetch. Outer material was durable standing up to his chewing. And then, as I was slingshotting the duck, the rubber tube popped out of the body, leaving me with the head in one hand and the body and the other.⦠And a useless toy unfortunately.

Our border collie goes nuts over this and is excited in anticipation of me launching it. It’s fairly durable, although I had to duct tape up one area she chewed threw, but after that, it’s been lasting well.
