Does this product come with a mattress?
The Newton crib mattresses come with the Wovenaire core and an outer cover. This is an extra cover for when the cover is soiled and needs to be laundered. It is interchangeable for Newton Original and Waterproof Crib Mattresses only.
Can I use this instead of a sheet?
While our covers are very soft, washable, and breathe-thru, most parents use a Newton Organic Cotton Sheet over the mattress cover.

Great product!
We love the Newton mattress and breathable mattress cover. It’s easy to clean, and best of all, we don’t worry if we wake-up to our baby sleeping on her stomach because of the breathable cover. I would highly recommend this to any new parent!

Must have upgrade for our nursery
At first we were hesitant⦠it seemed like a lot of money. The original mattress was pricey and then adding thisâ¦But it has been so worth it. Being able to wash it is a huge blessing and being able to swap in a new one while the other is in the washer and dryer is clutch. No waiting until the morning or hoping we can position baby outside of a wet spot.As soon as this arrived my husband pushed his face into it to see if he could breathe⦠it is very breathable and makes us feel like baby is safer sleeping on this surface.

Perfect for faceplanters!
This mattress is worth every penny. My daughter learned to roll over at started sleeping on her face (her face planted straight in the mattress)! It was terrifying and I couldn’t sleep knowing she was doing that. As a healthcare worker, I know all too well the risks of unsafe sleep. I immediately looked around and came across the Newton mattress. Like other reviewers have said, we tried it out ourselves and you really can breathe comfortably with your face squished in the mattress. I am no longer losing sleep at night because of my crazy daughter’s preferred sleeping position!

Disappointed, way too big
I love the Newton mattress my little sleeps on and wanted an extra cover in case of accidents which is why I ordered this cover. The description clearly states it is a spare cover. However, the cover is way too big. I agree with other reviews that itâs big enough to be considered unsafe. I am returning asap and have no idea what I am going to do for an extra cover.

Zips into 2 pieces and cleans easily
Awesome. Zips into two separate pieces so when baby inevitably explodes fecal matter all over it you only have to wash the one side of it. Good quality. Would buy again.

Great Investment!
We have been co-sleeping and now that our baby is 3 months it was time to go to the crib. He naps on his tummy and I wanted a mattress that he could continue to sleep on his stomach without worry. The first night we put him in the crib, he slept 7 hours. Everytime we lay him down, he is comfortable and sleeps soundly. This mattress is a great investment!
