Works for our 20 lb chihuahua mix!
We have an older chihuahua mix who sometimes has mobility issues, especially after long walks. We have a stroller for her which is great on sidewalks, and we have a backpack for her for hiking, but we needed something for taking her around in the city when we are in inclement weather or a stroller is just too cumbersome or inappropriate to take into a store. We are super happy with this purchase. She fits really well and is very steady in the sling. The shoulder strap is padded and there are even zipped compartments for carrying dog bags, etc. it does get heavy after a while but so would anything else that you had to carry in your shoulder that was 20lbs. That has nothing to do with the sling. We used this sling taking her around on vacation with snow on the ground and also to let us take a longer walk with our other dogs who were on leashes and could go further and faster than if she was just on a leash with them as well. We didnât think we could find this kind of solution for a dog her size but so far we are very happy to recommend this sling.

Works great for us with a little tinkering
I carry my dachshund in and out of the apartment to potty in a bag in order to take care of his back (as thereâs a flight & a half of stairs we have to use & his legs are super-short). Iâve found that the usual inserts for pet bags are way too short for him, with his longer body, so I made him one out of stiff cardboard & duct tape so he has support from head to tail. However, this made our previous bag too âshallowâ because the support board is wider and spreads out the bag, so the sides are shorter and barely secured my little guy inside because it wouldnât fully zip up. It wasnât going to work so I went on the hunt to find one with more room.This bag is SO much better! Itâs large enough to incorporate my little guy and his support board, yet not so deep that the bag swallows him and he canât see out. Having the open drawstring top makes it much easier to put him in and take him out (instead of the previous bagâs zipper) plus it provides ventilation. And I like how the material is water resistantâit also doesnât pick up tons of grass/debris when I set it on the ground for my little guy to get in/out. The only part I would change is that the big buckle on the strap hits me right on the neck, but Iâm working on that.The one thing I recommend for ANY bag: make sure your bottom insert is long enough to support your petâs *entire* body, not just their butt. Standing on those little surfboard inserts mean that theyâre trying to balance once you pick up the bag when theyâre inside; and their spine doesnât get the support it needs to stay in a straight line. If they sit, it might be ok but if your pet is standing, itâs better for them to have a longer insert that is under all four feet at the same time. That way their hind (or front) end isnât dangling off the board and hanging in the air.

Best thing in the world
My long sausage dog is a walking stress ball. She barks and works herself up very easy. Itâs hard to get her to go on car rides or get out of the house to prepare for a walk. As soon as I break this sling out, she becomes mellow and begs to get inside.Overall it fits her perfect (sheâs just under 20 pounds, super long since sheâs a dachshund) and is made out of sturdy material. I could easily see a slightly bigger dog fitting in this as well, if that helps. Instead of holding her with two arms, I am able to go about my normal life with both hands while keeping her close. Would definitely recommend!

Not enough support
I have a 13lb yorkie and the bottom support pad is way too small, so it provides little support for him. Will have to buy some sort of insert that actually fits to even be able to use this. However, that is my only complaint and once I find something that fits in the bottom better, this will work great. It appears to be well made and I like the netting and safety hook features. Just wish the bottom pad was large enough to cover the bottom of the sling. Overall, not a bad product and is very deep and large enough for dogs probably up to 20lbs. Just be aware you will have to buy another support pad for the bottom.

My Teddy Bear Loves It!
I use this to go hiking with my 14-pound Shih Tzu-Bichon (Teddy Bear) dog. I had read the reviews and was hesitant but found the carrier to be pretty comfortable for my dog and for me. Keep in mind that carrying any dog on a long hike is probably never going to be easy, but I have tried other carrier packs and liked this one the best because I can keep my dog in front of me and can use my arms to take the weight off my shoulders when I get tired. Plus, my dog faces forward, which she likes.I did put a blanket in the bottom, otherwise it was too deep for my dog, who is relatively short. The carrier material is sturdy and not really breathable.

PLASTIC BAG
The description lies. The entire exterior of the bag is plastic. It is not broadcloth nor is it jersey as the photo image implies as does the âreversibleâ description.A. Plastic is too hot for a dog to be inside, especially in the summer.B. One can not reverse a hard plastic exterior to an interior and have it flexible.C. A dog inside a hard plastic ( reversed) interior would not be comfortable.D.) the padding is a small removable piece of cardboard with some cheap fabric and slight stuffing.I bought the most expensive (Amazon) sling option for a 15 lb dog. He fit inside but the net is not very secure. Also – if the dog jumps and is clipped with the enclosed clip – theyâll be hanging DANGLING from the cheap clip. I didnât attach it for that very reason. Bottom cushion is also missing from 1.I wanted to like this. I really wanted to keep it. I even bought iron on patches to try to make it cuter, but you canât iron onto plastic. Some may love it but should be informed that the bag is â waterproofâ because itâs plastic. Dogs donât have sweat glands – could overhear leading to dehydration! Deceptive marketing.

Bottom not very stable
My dog is probably too heavy. The material is good though. Thick shoulder strap and adjustable too. Itâs just that the Bottom is not sturdy. Gonna have to look into something else for my awkwardly shaped wiener dog but recommend for 15lbs or lighter

Seems well made and arrived on time. Our 15lb dog enjoys the ride! We take it with us on hikes, carrying our picnic and a foldable bag. When the pup is tired we can put the leftovers in the folding bag and carry him back in this.

This bag is perfect my need to contain my dog when I want to brush his teeth. The mesh around the neck is adjustable and can be pulled to either side which makes it comfortable for my dog. There is a hook inside to connect the collar. Canât comment on walking with it, as I will not be using it for that.

This carrier has inaccurate description of “Inner Fabric: soft and breathable 100% COTTON” ??? The inside is definately not at all 100% Cotton , it is very cheap thin flimsy plastic !!! Totally not what was expected and will be usless for the winter !!! Very disappointed !!!
