Much less tracking than any method I have tried. Smells more.
I would suggest cleaning the box 1-2 times every single day. The big opening at the top with the grate does increase the smelliness of the box greatly. But, it was not made to trap smells! Its main focus is to reduce tracking, which it does. I am using regular litter and will try Natures Miracle corn litter soon since we have had great luck with that litter tracking less. Anyway, people have issues with this box leaking. I saw that in the reviews and decided to use wide shipping tape and sealed the gaps all around the box. The litter has not spilled through and I don’t believe my cats pee along the walls, but if they did, the tape would prevent it from leaks. The tape has not gotten dirty with dung or peepee after nearly a month of use. I am planning to replace the tape as soon as I see signs of grossness, but so far everything works good.I think both of my cats are not even using the door, they just go through the top but it doesn’t cause any issue. It is cute for sure, it just sucks having to seal all the edges with tape. And it sucks there is nothing to do for trapping smells except maybe putting baking soda in here and there, but this is by far the smelliest box out of any I have had, even with changing it minimum once a day. Cute box though!

Wasted money
Update-These just keep getting worse. Moneys been tight so ive been putting off replacing these. I went to clean them and saw the last thing I wanted to see; a bunch of cat pee on my floor. Under both boxes. The flooring underneath is ruined and needs to be replaced now. Avoid these at all costs.I ordered 2 of these litter boxes 6 months ago. At first I really liked them, but the longer i have them the more i hate them. They’re cute, a decent size and they do keep the tracking down to a minimum since the cats have to come out of the top. However, these boxes waste so much litter. My boys kick the litter back to cover where they used the bathroom, and they kick it quite high. The ledges catch an absurd amount, and even after tilting the whole box forward and trying to get it off the ledges I end up with a giant mess under the box and in front where I slide the tray out. I scoop these boxes twice everyday, and it is always about the same amount of litter on the floor. Every. Single. Time. I will be replacing these ASAP, absolute garbage.
