Solid crate that meets IATA specifications
While this crate is a bit bulky to transport and quite expensive, it met the IATA requirements to fly our dog in comfort and safety, which is why we purchased it. Down side: the handle comes off easily and is really insufficient to carry it. Upside: everything else is great. Itâs easy to put together, meets the requirements to travel, and is comfortable for the dog (as much as flying can be). She likes using it in our house as her âden,â which is an added bonus.While I wish it came in another color, it was easy to spot from afar when we were looking for our dog in cargo. If you need a crate to get from point A to point B without any trouble, this is a solid bet.

Solid, well-built, thoughtfully designed.
These are so much sturdier than the comparable brand (you know which one I am referring to). The components are thicker, and it feels much more solid. It is also slightly taller and a bit narrower but perfect for the cat. They are fitted with a drain tray of sorts that allows for any unfortunate peeing incidents to drain so that your cat (or small dog) are sitting or standing in it. The ones I ordered have a thick carpet mat, deep no-spill water bowl and a funnel so that airline staff can easily refill the water.Having shipped a cat in the competing brand, I much prefer these to the other for quality of construction and thoughtful details.

Very sturdy, great value and fantastic customer service
Excellent sturdy carriers, I bought 2 for my cats who are flying from San Francisco to the UK. Loads of space, wonderful water bowls that attach to the inside cage door and can be filled from the outside with an attached funnel. After sales service was great, nothing was too much trouble for the vendors and they answered my questions very quickly. Highly recommended.

The only kennel I’ll recommend for international travel
It was expensive, but completely worth it. I wanted to make sure I was in compliance when moving to Denmark with my Spaniel. Other crate companies only have a few sizes to choose from, and most of them won’t fit per the international travel guidelines. Pet Express offers a ton of choices and take into account that all breeds come in different shapes and sizes. Their customer service is great. They answer emails quickly and even offered good tips for acclimating my dog to his kennel and reassured me he would be safe on the trip. The kennel held up really well during the long flight. The water dish it comes with is nice. I even had room for a small food dish and another water bottle.

Itâs huge!!
Iâd like to thank Chloe for her amazing customer service! I ordered the biggest crate they had (PP100), due to my dog being too big for any other crate available. Without this crate I wouldâve had to order a custom made wooden crate to ship him internationally which gets very pricey. For the weight and price, this crate is worth it. The risers are very helpful, as without them, my dog wouldâve been ducking the whole time which isnât allowed. Now he has 3 extra inches of clearance from the top of his ears. Very easy to assemble, just big so itâs easier with 2 people. I did have shipping issues where the risers and accessories werenât provided in the box, but a quick message to Chloe and she was able to help me immediately. Would recommend this company to anyone needing to ship their dog internationally and need a lightweight crate! Thanks again Chloe!!

Quality Control Problems
For the price, I would expect better…. The top handle wouldn’t stay in place because someone had reamed out the holes in the lid, and the handle itself was bent outward on one side. Look at the photos: how did this get past quality control?I gave this 3 stars only because, when I called Pet Express directly and sent them the same photos, they agreed to send me a replacement orange upper piece with a proper handle. I haven’t received it yet, but I’ll take them at their word.Pretty disappointing, though, for a crate nearly twice the cost of a comparably sized crate from most other suppliers. YMMV.

My dog loves it
I got this kennel for our move to Brazil in October. It’s exactly the size I needed, and my dog loves it. I can tell that she feels less anxious in this kennel than in her wire kennel. My guess is that this kennel gives more of a “den” feel, which helps her to relax. The only thing reason I’m giving this a four is because it came with zero instructions on how to put it together. I would’ve liked a little help in that area.

Outstanding!
Bought one to be sure it is as sturdy as described. No kidding! I have had two different brand kennels, and this is by far the strongest and best made of them. There are more bolts to hold the shells together, and the rack under the provided piece of fluffy carpet is very strong. I bought a second crate so that each of my dogs has its own. I have every confidence that my dogs will be safe in the aircraft cargo on their way to our new home.
