more of a a comb than a brush
The “two” sides are the same type; just different width between “teeth.”Rake is the better term, because it is really more of a comb than a brush.Inside the hooks seems to be kind of sharp; I guess that might help cut out matted hair (and safely because it’s on the side of the hook, but our dog doesn’t have any tangle hair right now so I can’t try it on that.It is easy to remove the hair that sticks to it after combing, but as far as “brushing” goes I prefer the feel of a brush.Our dog has a long coat but it isn’t thick; if you have a dog with really thick hair where you feel like you are only brushing the top layer (like a rough collie or a golden retriever with a thick coat), this would be good for that!
