Edit: replacement toy is awesome
Edit: I was contacted by Petlibro and offered a refund but instead asked for a replacement. The replacement toy came and after ensuring it was properly charged I turned it on and set it lose. The new toy is faster and rolled all over the place.I watched my cats play and chase it around for about 20 minutes; at this point I was satisfied that the original one I bought is defective. I had to leave for work and I noted that the new toy was under one of my plants at the front of my house.Thirteen hours later after getting home from work I went to get the mouse and recharge it but it wasn’t in the living room under the plant. After a rigorous search I found the toy in my bedroom under the bed. This surprised me because when I went to pick it up the wheels started spinning.This one deserves 5 stars and is great if you don’t get a defective one. More than worth the cost, my Bengal and my rescue love chasing it around the house.I gave it 4 stars on sturdiness because when the battery is freshly charged this little toy hauls butt across hardwood floors and bounces off of walls and furniture. My Bengal loves it, it’s great for him to chase but then the battery runs out which frustrates him.It only gets 1 star for durability and value for money because after a very short time (less than 5 minutes) it dies and needs to be recharged.Skip this and find a different one. I have been looking for something similar now that has better battery life.

Definitely works better on a hard surface.
This little mouse is very cute and fun for the cat but it is very sluggish on the low pile carpet and gets stuck sometimes. Worked well on the kitchen floor but I had to put a barrier down so it wouldn’t go under the stove anymore! Needs more space to really get her to chase it.

This is the BEST cat toy I ever bought!! So cute and mouse like as it zips around. When nose bumps into wall or chair, turns itself around in adorable forward then backward maneuver! So quiet and petite does not scare even most nervous of cats!!! AND tail will light up in what blinking pattern you choose!!!!

Cat was OBSESSED with it til it broke. Update: great customer service, but same issues.
My cat was OBSESSED with this toy. Literally obsessed. Because the charge doesnât last very long, I was considering buying another so my now-demanding cat would always have one fully charged. BUT I thought it might be smart to wait a bit and see how the toy held up, and Iâm glad I did, because in less than 3 months the wheels were popping off and not staying on when I put them back on. Itâs a design flaw. They just wear loose and then wonât stay on and the toy just spins in place. I wish this toy were more durable because my cat LOVED it sooooo much. But I wonât be spending another $25 for a toy that canât go 3 months. Super disappointing. I should add that my cat wasnât super aggressive with the toy. He just batted it a little but mostly chased it everywhere and watched it. If your cat likes to chew and attack, I feel like it might have an even shorter life span. UPDATE: Petlibro reached out wanting to make it right and sent me a gift card and refunded the price of the toy to allow me to order another one. It has arrived and my cat loves it. Here’s hoping this one lasts longer. I added another star to my review for their customer service and I hope this toy is more durable. FINAL update: slightly one month after receiving the second toy, the wheel popped off last night and wonât stay on. I added a 3rd photo and you can see how the plastic is cracked in the wheel holder. Iâm really sad to report that the 2nd one had a shorter life span than the first because wow does my cat love this toy. Theyâve done a great job coming up with realistic motions and keeping the catâs interest. Hopefully they will solve the wheel issue at some point.

Stopped working after 6 weeks
My cats took a few weeks to get into it (I think highly energetic young cats, they might get into this toy faster — but it cruises by, back and forth, SO fast, that most of the passes were worthless and didn’t engage them), but after a few weeks one of my 10-year olds starting getting into it more. The other, the more reserved/cautious one, was JUST starting to play with it, too…. when it stopped working, just 6 weeks after buying it. I thought it was just dead, and tried recharging with no success — even questioned if the USB computer port was the problem and plugged the USB cord (it came with) into a surge-protector extension cord: No luck. Then I swapped out the original USB cord with another, hoping it was just a faulty USB cord — nope. This $30 cat toy lasted a flat 6 weeks, no more. And no way to contact the company to return or replace it.Did a new online search of interactive cat tots and found many good reviews for a (Amazon) rolling ball with feathers cat toy that (according to reviews) has 2 adjustable speeds, is voice or touch activated, and boasts of a longer recharge time (the “pixie mouse” toy that died had about a 45-minute use time before we needed to recharge), and the videos showed cats able to “hunt” it and “catch /beat up” their prey, which I know my slower, older but stiff active cats might like better.I’d have been fine with this (pixie mouse) toy had it continued working. And I will say that it did well at reversing itself regularly, which served to intrigue the cats as well as get it out of tough spots. But that it broke soo soon after getting it AND that we were unable to rectify this problem due to lack of vendor availability makes this an overall disappointing buy. I suggest rethinking this purchase (especially for mature/lower-energy cats — or if you’re looking to buy fewer “disposable” toys). Buyer beware. :((

The furry fellas played with the mouse for a few minutes. Now the mouse has disappeared into who-knows-where. Should have stuck an Air Tag on the thing.Anyway, good construction. Bright tail light. Worked flawlessly.
