Petmate Litter Scoop for Cats, Large Size, Bleached Linen

Sturdy, well constructed that makes cleaning boxes fast & easy. Purr-fect!
For the time being, this scooper functions better than my larger scoopers. It is also sturdier than the blue plastic scooper that has a tendency to bend when downward pressure is applied. It is also lighter to handle than the aluminum scooper that is heavy even when empty. Granted, I have small hands so this scooper fits and feels more natural giving me more control in the corners and speed in my movements in the boxes. The shovel part and slots are adequate for shifting between small & large clumps in the aluminum litter pans that contained Tidy Cat’s light weight litter. I also tested it in one of the plastic litter pans that contains Dr Elseys Cat Attract (a heavier clumping litter) and those difficult pee clumps or sticky pancake residue that adheres to the sides and bottom was also handled pretty easily. What can I say? It doesn’t have that cheap plastic feel to it like my other plastic one and it does not bend under pressure. Trust me, I have 5 large male cats & 1 medium female who have no problem providing different size and weight samples to be collected. Overall, my husband loves the metal one (he has big hands), but I love this scooper for how it feels, what it does, and the price. For me, it’s comfortable to use and easy to wash & dry PLUS… it’s got a built in hook for storage! 5-stars! It’s purr-fect! Too soon to tell on durability, but will update the posting in the event of any change.

Efficient and Eco-Friendly, but with Minor Flaws – Still a Good Buy!
I recently purchased the Petmate Litter Scoop in the large size, and overall, I’m quite pleased with its performance. It’s always great to find a product that delivers on its promises, and this scoop does just that.Firstly, the size of the scoop is ideal for quick and efficient cleaning. The 4.2-inch wide and 1.7-inch long mouth makes it suitable for most litter types, and the wide slits are effective for easy sifting. This design significantly reduces the time I spend cleaning the litter box, which any cat owner can appreciate.I’m also impressed by the environmentally friendly aspect of this scoop. Knowing that it’s made with 95% Post Industrial resin gives me peace of mind that I’m making an eco-conscious choice for my pet supplies.The handle design deserves a special mention. It’s user-friendly and makes the scoop easy to hold, reducing hand fatigue during use. This thoughtful design shows that Petmate understands what pet owners need in a litter scoop.However, the scoop isn’t without its minor issues. Litter, especially when wet, tends to get stuck in the smaller angles and gaps of the scoop. This requires a bit of extra cleaning after use to ensure it doesn’t stay dirty, which can be a slight inconvenience.Additionally, while scooping litter from the bottom of the box, I noticed that the scoop started to crack. It’s still manageable, but it does raise some concerns about long-term durability. Despite this, given the affordable price point, I believe it still offers good value for money.In conclusion, while the Petmate Litter Scoop has a couple of drawbacks, its overall efficiency, eco-friendly materials, and comfortable handle make it a product I would still recommend. For cat owners looking for an effective and affordable litter scoop solution, this is definitely a product to consider.

Works in a pinch
It says large but it is very small for a scooper. Better than using your hands and the plastic is actually more durable than other plastic scoopers. Keep in mind it’ll come with a product sticker placed over the holes. It don’t come off easy. I ended up cutting the holes out. See picture
