    Hours of playtime!
We have two Border Aussies – one is 12 years old and the other one is three months old. We had a few treat dispensers the older one loved playing with, but the puppy wasn’t strong or big enough to handle yet.So, I purchased this toy in hopes of getting our puppy the treat dispensing experience – a little more her size. It’s very soft, chewable (yet chew proof), rubbery material, yet, it’s tough and durable.Well, you know what they say about the best laid plans… So, as it turns out, the older Aussie loves this toy. She is also the only one strong enough to bend it in such a manner to get the treats out. However, that does not deter the puppy one single bit. Our puppy never gives up! And I do mean, never!!They take turns chewing on it, and running with it. When one of them drops it for a second and gets distracted, the other one picks it up and takes off. It’s become a highly entertaining toy at our house. What I love about this toy is the versatility. Both senior dog and puppy absolutely love it. You can roll it, you can toss it, you can spin it. They play with anytime they get a chance.I’ve put treats inside, peanut butter, and most the time it’s just regular old dog food. I don’t think they care what I fill it with, as long as they are rewarded somehow for their determination. It is so small that sometimes it will get lodged beneath the piece of furniture or the couch, and I’ll have to go hunting for it to fill it for them. When they’re done playing with it, and I find it lying in a lonely corner. I pick it up and put it on the counter until the next time I notice they need a distraction. This keeps it interesting and fresh for them, and makes it easy for me to find to fill. It’s so affordable, and it’s been such a fun addition to doggy playtime at our house. I hope it works out just as well for you and your furry friend!

Favorite gift for dog parent friends
I’ve gotten this for 4 separate dogs now with different shapes, sizes, and energy drive levels, but they all loved this toy feeder! The toy material construction is pretty solid but not so much that I worry about a cracked tooth or so flimsy that it would crack after a few uses. Putting it together, adjusting the difficulty, and cleaning after use is simple once your pup decides that you can have it back. For sure a great fun enrichment activity especially at the price point.

Fun, kind of hard to fill, useful for more than just kibble!
We always use meal dispensing toys for our two Border Collies. With that said, my dogs are NOT big chewers, and since they’re used to these types of toys, they won’t continue to chew them once they’re empty. They’re kind of the material/texture of a rubber scraper you’d use in the kitchen. Durable in the sense that they can roll them around, but you absolutely should not leave them with your dog unsupervised. We have Our Pets Smarter Interactive IQ Treat Ball Dog Toy, 3 Inches (Colors may vary), JW Pet Company Hol-ee Treat Ball for Dogs, and have been using PetSafe Busy Buddy Tug-A-Jug Meal Dispensing Dog Toy, Medium/Large to feed them dinner for the last couple years. The tug-a-jugs are my favorites because they’re easy to fill. However, they’re kind of hard to keep clean, as they tend to get gunked up with hair and slobber. I wanted to try these to see if they would be easier to keep clean, but igger than the Hol-ee roller and quieter and more controllable than the IQ Treat Ball. They certainly look like they will be easy to clean as they are essentially just rubber, so rinsing them off is easy. Our dogs picked up the dispensing method immediately because they’re used to working for their dinners. I give it to them on the hardest setting–screwed totally tight so the arches on each side don’t meet up, but are slightly past one another. This creates two half-circle holes on each side of the toy, rather than one larger round hole.We got the large size because I wanted to be able to feed them their entire dinner from the toy. We feed them each dog 1 cup of kibble from these toys. You can fill them about 1/2 way while they’re unscrewed and opened, but then you have to screw the pieces together, hold one end (to prevent the food from falling out the opposite end) and pour kibble into the hole. It’s kind of a pain to fill them. Fortunately I only do this once a day, so it’s not a deal-breaker for me.I’m excited to try these with peanut butter or pumpkin. I think I’ll try mixing the pups’ dinner with a spoonful of pumpkin and throwing these boys in the freezer. That should definitely take some time and brain power!

Bought this toy to replace the same one that we lost, it’s small enough to take out with us when we go anywhere filled with treats as a distraction for our dog,so we can have 5 minutes to ourselves while our dog is playing, great toy,

I bought this for my sisters Minature Dachshund puppy, when they stayed with us this Christmas. It was a hit with her and the puppy. It has good bounce, is easy to open, super easy to adjust the opening to dispense treats or kibble and clean up was a breeze. The dogs had a blast playing with it.I love these treat dispensing toys. I use them as feeders, especially when there’s more than one dog in the house with different diets and speeds of eating. You just set them down in front of the right dog and away they go until it’s empty. It’s fun to see them figure out how best to get the food out, and how to get the toy out of corners it is inevitability going to get stuck in. So much fun! It’s also great way to get a senior dog to exercise, or just enrichment for any age of dog. Its helpful with seperation anxiety as well. You could put a combination of wet and dry treats like a kong, but much easier to clean because you can open it.I also like these better than snuffle mats. I always worry about snuffle mats and that the dog might eat a part of the mat or something like that and just general hygiene. This one is great for small dogs and seems very durable. It’s made out of a tough rubber (outer) and a durable, easy to use, plastic internal screw holds the two pieces together. You just screw it together until you get the desired opening size for the treat or food. It works even with small breed, very tiny kibble.I highly recommend this item, seems like it will last for years and was even a fun toy empty.(If you have a larger dog this one is fantastic https://www.amazon.ca/PetSafe-Kibble-Nibble-Feeder-Medium/dp/B005BOMPWG/ref=redir_mobile_desktop?_encoding=UTF8&ref_=ox_sc_saved_image_6&smid=A3DWYIK6Y9EEQB&th=1 , we’ve been using the small size for three years with my miniature dachshund (and the medium-large I bought as a gift for a lab), and even the new puppy loved it despite the larger size. It holds way more, so is good for full meals and regular sized kibble and comes in two sizes, suitable for small adult to large breed.)If you found this review at all helpful please say so, thank you.

My dog loves this with peanut butter. Great for dogs that need distraction or calming. This is our 3rd one for our dog who is 5 years old.
