Omg I hardly ever write reviews on amazon but I HAVE to rave about this pop up pen!! I was a little iffy about buying a new pen where other people have reviewed how unsturdy and not well made it is, but I’m so glad I got it because there’s nothing I don’t like about it! We used to have the heavy metal pen that folds up and all the hinges were falling apart and we needed something new. We have a 24lb Rat terrier-chihuahua-American Eskimo mix who’s tall (23” or so) and she has no problem getting into this pen. We’ve had this pen for a few weeks now and she wasn’t sure at first but took to liking it within a few days. I love that it folds up nice and flat, it’s easy to set up, it’s sturdy and well made, no loose threads anywhere, it has pockets on the side to store things (!!), it even comes with a traveling bag with handles which is so convenient, and it’s plenty roomy inside for her but enclosed enough to feel more den like than the previous metal pen. It’s waterproof, and the bottom and the top unzips for when you need it, and we leave the dog half zipped so she gets more air. It’s so well made that the zippers are so smooth, doesn’t get caught on anything, and the bonus is the zippers on the top and bottom overlap so it’s really easy to put on the top and bottom pieces which unzips completely. She takes up maybe 1/3 of the pen, and we put her bed inside and it still doesn’t fill up the whole pen. We can even put her water bowl and food bowl in there while we’re gone for the day so she has her supplies all the time and there’s plenty of room to feel like a separate bedroom and a eating area, probably wouldn’t work if you’re crate training a puppy. I also love that they thought of adding the Velcro on the door so you can roll it up when you want to or leave it down so it feels like a doggie door flap. There are two entries but we usually just keep one closed and facing the wall. She’ll even sleep in there during the day without me asking her to, generally it’s where she sleeps at night and we zip up the whole pen to keep her nice and cozy inside. Best of all it’s not awkward and heavy to lift, and we have hardwood floors that the metal pen used to scrape the floor all the time, and this is fabric but really good quality. Would highly recommend if you are looking for a den and don’t want a hefty dog house. If you have a smaller to medium size dog, and don’t want to use crates or pen but also travels with your dog, this would be your best alternative. I would say this would not work for a heavier larger dog, probably best for under 40lb dog just so they don’t have the weight to tear up the pen. But we also are lucky that she hasn’t attempted to jump out from the top, especially since we keep it half open. I love it so much and I don’t think I can go back to heavy clunky crates and pens anymore!!!

So easy to assemble
I love that this playpen is so easy to assemble and keep clean. Great quality for the money! My puppies love it! The size is perfect for the three of them since they are very small toy pups. I bought some round pads to go in it which works great to cushion it a little. I also have a small bed in it where they sleep which still gives them room to play. The zippers glide smoothly which I also love along with the sturdiness. I move it to different rooms so the portability and stability it awesome!

Sturdy and useful
This playpen makes my small-to-medium dog welcome at my office and at the houses of friends who don’t usually welcome dogs. It folds down flat so I can slide it into its case, which makes carrying it along with a handbag and the dog on a leash quite doable. The zippers are sturdy and work smoothly. There are two doors so that I pet the dog and feed him without opening the ceiling, which is important at homes with curious cats and children who otherwise would hop in. The floor is waterproof with layers of waterproof fabric covering the floor’s zipper. I set puppy pads down anyway just in case. The size is great for my dog because it holds his squishy bed, his blanket, and his water dish without the bed or blanket getting wet. Setup is easy and after I did it a bunch of times, setup is now quick. Taking it down is another matter. It disassembles fast, but it took me considerable practice to learn to fold it properly. I’m still working on that. Fortunately, the directions include good diagrams so I keep them in one of the playpen’s storage compartments in case I need a reminder. I’m not sure how the playpen can be redesigned to make folding it easier unless the makers add hinges, which have their own design challenges.

Great for our puppy!
We used this product for our shop to put our puppy in it. She likes to play inside and there is plenty of room. Overall, it is a great product. It has an octagon shape about 40.5 x 42 inches. I like the fact that you can take off the bottom or top and wash them. It is quite sturdy. Well thought out design. Very functional and affordable.

My mother’s 16 year old cat, Simba, recently came to live with us and our two quite lively dogs. A slow, gradual introduction was indicated. The playpen was the perfect way of allowing the dogs and Simba to meet each other while still ensuring that the cat was safe and the dogs were out of reach of any possible “swats” that Simba might deliver. The playpen’s size allowed Simba to easily move around and also accommodated a small litter box and a bed for him. We placed the playpen in our living room and gradually increased the amount of time that Simba spent with us and the two dogs (at other times, Simba was in a closed bedroom). The process of gradually allowing the animals to spend more and more time together has proven very successful and they have gotten increasingly comfortable with each other. We are hopeful that, eventually, we will be able to let Simba out of the playpen to spend time with the dogs (with close supervision). The playpen will also be useful to let Simba spend time outside in the yard. We are really happy with this product and would highly recommend it for puppies, small dogs, and cats. It is very easy to set up, has a nice amount of space, is very well made, lightweight for easy movement, good zippers, easy to clean. Great product!

This pen is one of the best purchases I’ve made for my dog. It’s incredibly easy to set up and take down, light, compact, portable, durable. I have a teacup chihuahua who is a mere 2.5 lbs, so her needs are quite small. This pen gives her lots of room to play, even with her bed inside. The waterproof bottom is great, any spills or accidents are easily wiped away. When a more through clean is needed it fits right in the tub and can be rinsed out easily.As for lasting durability, so far there have been no issues. Unfortunately since my dog is so small she’s likely not a great comparison for other dogs. The zippers have gotten a bit sticky but I believe this is due to a teething puppy unable to resist having a chew. I’m glad the zippers weren’t metal or else she may have had some broken teeth as punishment for her chewing.We’ve taken this pen everywhere; friends houses, parks, etc. and the carrying case makes it so easy to take with us. It folds into the size of a medium briefcase and is easily stowed and carried. The flap pockets are the perfect size for a puppy pad or some wipes. The mesh pockets are a great place for snacks and water. We’re so glad we got this pen over a metal one. It can’t be pushed around from the inside, it’s lighter and more attractive, and when company comes over we can fold it away in a moment’s notice.In short this pen has made life as a dog owner so much easier!
