At last, the perfect walking harness
We had two problems we needed to solve. One was our two older, very large dogs that love to walk but go so bananas when we get the harnesses out that its hard to get them into them. Plus they all seem to have been made by origami experts and go on 5 different ways, 4 of them wrong. We also have a smaller lab puppy that didn’t really want to walk but my ex-wife dragged him around the neighborhood anyhow and the traditional harness scraped him up a little under the arms.
I was concerned about the sizing after reading the reviews, but the XXL size fits our 130lb mastiff/rotty/chow combination, our 75lb dalmation/pointer mix and the 50lb puppy. Even with the big dog, there’s some room to let out. But the neck size is key, since that slips over the head. One belt, one latch, only goes on one way and even if the dog is barking and jumping around you can slip this over their head and buckle it in 10 seconds.
Its soft, wraps around the head and neck, under the arms and chest, and it spreads the load out over a larger area instead of just a 1″ strap.
Our big dog did at one point turn around, crouch down with his front legs and slip the harness. He’s done that with every one we’ve had. Big body, big thick neck and a smaller head is the problem. What was nice is that it took me no time at all to put it back on, and we had no problems walking in a forward direction!
Edit: Its been a while since I first reviewed this, so I thought I’d give it an update. I’ve used this harness exclusively for all of my dogs since buying the first one. All are still fully intact and in service for several years and I’ve bought more. I resolved the problem of backing out of it by tightening the strap a bit. Considering two of the dogs I use these on are the 130 pounder mentioned above and a young 80lb german shepherd, both pullers, they haven’t done anything to damage these harnesses. I still love how fast and easy they go on and the comfort they allow the dogs.

UPDATE October 2015: Ya know what…. I’m sitting here giggling at my previous review (which I’ve left intact below the asterisks), because I totally and completely take back what I said about there being no chance in hell that a dog could wiggle out of these harnesses.
These harnesses are NOT APPROPRIATE for Miniature Pinschers. Min Pins, lovable yet mischievous and always looking for ways to escape, can wriggle themselves out of these harnesses with ease. I learned this the hard way about 4-5 times. With *both* of my Min Pins. It’s a damn shame because its a soft and comfortable harness, but they developed this technique where they stretch out their front legs and just hit the reverse button and slip right out of the harnesses. If your dog is one of those “escape artist” breeds, think twice.

I bought this harness in pink and in sky blue for my miniature pinscher. For some reason these have slight sizing variations, although both were ordered in x-small. The pink one fits my dog perfectly, but the sky blue one is slightly tighter around the neck.
In any case, I am very happy with this harness. I know for sure there is no way my dog can wiggle out of it, as agitated as she tends to be. The mesh seems to be pretty comfortable. She never complains about having it on, and sleeps with it. I don’t take it off unless it is to wash it or to change colors or just wear a collar. It is well sewn and constructed – doesn’t feel cheap at all.
In terms of fit, the x-small fits her perfectly. She is a 3.5 month old miniature pinscher, about 10 inches high and 11 inches long.. about 9ish inches around the neck. This fits her snugly and comfortably. Hope that helps any min-pin owners get an idea of size.
I definitely recommend this harness for a hyper dog who likes to try and wiggle out of harnesses, cause there is no chance of that happening with this one! It’s also very cute.

Great fit
This is my 2nd purchase and this time I ordered 2 (so 3 total) for my 8 month old boston terrier mix. The material is breathable and flexible so it doesn’t feel stiff like other halters we tried before. Stays on well and is adjustable to grow with your dog. Lots of nice color options. I will say the first one got pretty chewed up by our girl who was teething but it never broke. Good value for the price

Nice, simple harness, runs small
This harness seems to be well built with quality materials. It is not the heaviest or most substantial, but I can’t see any dog it will fit being strong enough to break it. The top attachment ring is strong.
Fits my 38-pound girl, who is definitely on the small side for a 60% Husky mix, but just barely, and is tight going on over her head. We have the strap adjusted to its longest setting. Despite being a “Large,” this will not fit most dogs that I would call large. The neck opening is snug, if not too small – slightly bigger would be much better. For comparison, I just got another more adjustable “Large” harness, and I have to adjust it to almost as small as it will go to fit my dog – it would work well with much bigger dogs than this harness.
If you find the right size for your dog, this is a nice, light weight harness that should hold up well. It is not my favorite, but we used a very similar one for several months, and would probably keep using this if I hadn’t found a nicer, more adjustable, albeit heavier one.

We needed something that wouldn’t irritate under our dog’s front legs as all the other harnesses are rough straps that go under and leave him raw and irritated. He needs to be in his harness at all times as he’s a runner and we need to be able to grab him easily so finding this one was great. It’s soft under the arms and only has one strap around his middle. Here’s hoping it will continue to do the trick as so far he’s very comfortable with it on.

Mi perro es un shcnauzer de 10 kg y fiel a su raza, muy territorial e inquieto, no le gusta usar arnés pero lo prefiero pues es más cómodo para él y no se ahorca en los paseos como sucede con el collar. Los arneses de petco me parecen extremadamente caros y feos. QuerÃa un arnés de este material, pues es igual a uno que compré hace años y que ya no consigo en el super (la tela es fresca, resistente, no los acalora y sobre todo, es cómoda). Este modelo es idéntico al que tenÃa antes en formato y tela, solo cambian los broches que en este caso son de plástico y eso me daba desconfianza pues tenÃa temor de que se rompieran y el “lomito” saliera corriendo. Tenemos varios meses usándolo y está en perfecto estado, lleva un par de lavadas y no se hizo feo o se maltrató. Los broches resisten los jalones del perro. Si sus perritos son de este mismo tamaño ‘cómprenlo con confianza, creo que servirÃa igual para un perro de raza grande o mediana.
