Is reflective enough on a cat collar? Reflective is paramount when kitty heads out into the night to skirt the neighbors’ houses as any light that catches the reflective material on the collar will make anyone aware if kitty is crossing the road. But without light, your cat remains invisible at night. Well, he used to until Rogz brought out the GlowCat Collar. These glow-in-the-dark cat collars are not only reflective, made with a polyurethane reflective as found in sports shoes on the inside but also have a unique glow-in-the-dark polyurethane on the outside with an overlay print so you can have a lot of fun turning off the lights and watching where kitty goes in the dark. Our cat collars are fitted with a unique breakaway load buckle that doesn’t just breakaway if kitty gets it hooked on something, but you can adjust the setting depending on the weight of your cat. If you have a little guy, then you would want the setting on +6.6lbs to ensure he has enough strength to cause the collar to breakaway. If your Tom Cat is built like the Hulk, you know that the slightest brush against something will cause that collar to breakaway: why not try our +11lbs setting? Safety is still our top priority so no matter what setting, the buckle will breakaway if placed under too much strain. With a removable bell to allow you to choose whether you (and kitty’s prey) can hear them coming or not, Rogz has pulled out all the stops to bring you a cat collar that will allow your kitty to shine out amongst all the others when prowling the streets AND be brilliantly visible even on the darkest nights!

Finally, a COLLAR THAT STAYS ON and glows beautifully!
At long last, I found A COLLAR THAT STAYS ON after losing lots of money on various collars and tags that get lost week after week (sometimes the same day!) by our six indoor/outdoor cats and trying various brands of cat collars that ranged from $2.50 to $8 each with breakaway, reflective and as light as possible being my requirements!! I love the adjustable lock that you can set depending on your cat’s weight/strength (kitten/teen/adult), Rogz is the only brand that has this! This collar glows even under dim lighting so you can’t step on/sit on your cat in the dark/in bed, in addition to being very reflective at night, the glow is impressive in the daytime. I also use the loop holding the bell to attach the name tag instead.Initally worried that the “white” color would not contrast enough with my white cats’ fur, but discovered the glow stands out regardless of fur color. Now I don’t have to worry about them ever getting lost and unidentifiable as our pets. They are also micro-chipped but I always make sure they wear collars with name tags that have their name, our home address and phone number on it.I have also been satisfied by another collar by Rogz that has all the same features (breakaway, adjustable, reflective) except that it does not “glow” after being exposed to sunlight although it is HIGHLY REFLECTIVE when any light bounces off it and an excellent choice for added variety in color/pattern choices. I own both models in different colors so all six cats have unique ones.Someone recommended trimming the fur around the neck of long-haired kitties so you can SEE the collar better, which is a very good idea. Here is the link for the non-glowing one: Rogz Catz Small 3/8-Inch Night Cat Safeloc Breakaway Clip Adjustable, Reflective Cat Collar, Black Paws Design (other color options too) It is entitled “small” but works fine on my big adult male cats as the length is very adjustable, just don’t forget to adjust the strength of the breakaway clasp before putting it on, using a small flat-head screwdriver or flat-tipped tweezer.Highly recommend these Rogz collars which I love, love, LOVE!!! The money saved from these collars that stay on allows me to purchase back-up collars (just in case), quality engraved name tags and new treats & toys for them :-)************************************************************Several months later, they’re still the best collars on the market:GOLD FISH color: primarily cream strap with subtle dark gray reflective trim, blue bubbles are varying shades of sky blue NOT turquoise, goldfish are a golden color with black outlines; this collar looks best on cats with calico coats or with “Siamese/Snowshoe/Himalayan” coloring if they are brown/tan/cream or gray/white or blue/cream, however it is not limited to cats with those coats as it is PERFECT on my Apollo (indoor/outdoor cat) who has all snow-white fur, one stunning sapphire blue eye and one dazzling golden amber eye and an amazing personality to match!************************************************************TWO YEARS later… Updating in late August 2013, these are still my go-to collars and I continue to purchase these as gifts for other friends “owned by cats”. I also stock up in different colors (back-ups) for those rare times a collar is temporarily misplaced in the home/yard due to getting cat due to rough play or stuck in branches chasing squirrels; it is good to know that this stay put collar does release when needed. Please note that they sometimes re-set themselves to lowest lock setting and must be re-set to highest/strongest lock before putting back on friends. They are THE ONLY COLLARS I recommend to my vet, other rescuers/fosters or anyone that asks. For the two older cats that are the least active and now never lose their collars, I replace these annually just so they look new as they get soiled with time; two who are very active need two replacements a year and the other two Houdini cats that constantly get in impossible places and are avid hunters outdoors, need 3 annually; I always keep back-ups for all 6 kitties with name tags attached (complete with addresses and phone number) so no one is ever naked before I start trying to track the collar because they are indoor/outdoor cats that have hunting territories spanning several blocks!! Not only are these collars awesome but they are so cool-looking!! We get lots of compliments and I never hesitate to tell them to get these!!

Best I’ve ever used HIGHLY recommend
Love the collar, and the cats seem to as well. I’m the owner of 2 cats, though sometimes I feel I’m their pet. LOL This is the third collar but I’m not disappointed at all. The collar says glow in the dark but that’s a stretch, yes, it glows but minimally. What I like most about it other than durability is the fact that you can adjust it to your cats weight. Now I worry less about having them get hung up on anything and not being able to get free and can ensure that it’s not going to come off at the slightest tug. The original collar for the other cat was bought two years ago and though there are hairy threads (from scratching his neck, neither are declawed) the collar is still solid – no tears or fraying that would cause concern. Others I’ve had get shredded to pieces or come off too easily or are so secure I worry they’ll get caught on something won’t be able to break free even if their life depends on it.Seven (that’s my cats name) has lost one, yes, but if you knew him…. He’s up trees, over fences, under fences under houses, through brush etc… We live in a rural area and they’re indoor/outdoor. I know, I know, there are those that believe inside is best but how would you like to not be able to leave your home – ever, even if it did mean you might live longer. They’re always in at night and can come in & out whenever they want all day. Regular vet visits, no fleas. My last two cats were also indoor/outdoor one lived to be 17 the other 18. Not too shabby. They’re spoiled rotten, but aren’t they all?

I think my cat loves this Rodz Collar
Yes, I think my cat loves this collar :)Well, I wish I could ask him and get a direct answer, but since my cat cannot give me any verbal feedback, I can only assume.I tried to put him in a regular collar more than 2 years ago, but it did not go too well – he constantly tried to remove it, (at times successfully). I decided that my wild animal did not like being tamed. I got rid of the collar and let my cat be.Recently, we moved into a new house, and all of a sudden my cat felt the need to explore. For some reason, after all these years of being an indoor cat, he decided it is time to venture outside. I had to get him a collar and a tag so he can be identified if lost. This collar is super soft, has an easy adjustable snap on lock and it slightly glows in the dark. I don’t know if in 2 years my cat grew up and realized that wearing a collar is not such a horrible thing, (not very likely, right…) More likely, this collar is so comfortable that it never bothered him. After all, it looked like my cat was pleased. So was I. A little bell is not annoying at all, it is very subtle and just lets you know when your cat is moving nearby. Well, this is my opinion. I don’t know what my cat thinks about this bell, but since he doesn’t react violently to it, I again, assumed, he is OK with it.I will admit that after 3 weeks of wearing this collar my cat lost it once. When I saw my cat without his collar I thought that he performed his old trick and forcefully removed the collar through his head, but then I found it inside of the house and saw that it got unlocked. Actually, it was my fault: I have an adult cat and I accidentally set the lock to the weakest setting. I changed it to the strongest one and I hope it will stay locked.Glow in the dark feature is pretty weak, I hope it is more reflective on the road, but I did not have a chance to test it.Overall, I think this product deserves 4 stars: it is well made, cute (not sure if your cat cares about it ;)), functional, easy-to-use. You can see that people put some thought into designing it.I will update my review if the collar gets unlocked with the strongest setting.

High quality and strong clasp
Such a fun print! The quality of the leather is top notch. Feels sturdy and thick. Will not fraylike most cloth collars. Love this brands adjustable clasp dependent on cats weigh. I feel more secure with it on my cats. It does glow in the dark but not too noticeable outside.

I have three small dogs who all wear these for their tags. I do not want my babys left alone with normal non breakaway collars for obvious reasons. They wear harnesses for walking. This item is great quality. Well made, glows in dark and also reflective. Small bell on it is not annoyingly noisy ð Dods look fab. Also, it has a three level breakaway tension adjustment for different weights of pet… brilliant!Worth the little extra money!

Notre chat a déjà perdu plusieurs de ces colliers, mais je préfère ça à le retrouver étranglé ! On le voit bien la nuit.

Bought two for a suspiciously low price a while ago. One year later, after being worn 27/4 by my two house cats, they barely show any sign of wear, except a little bit of chipped paint on the bell! They still glow very brightly as well. I thought it was just a gimmick, but the glow as prevented a LOT of accident during the night and save the cats from being tripped on on a regular basis. I couldn’t do without now.(The pictures show the collar after approx. one year of sustain use)
