Mesh and Zipper Design Needs Improvement
I was initially excited about this playpen, especially because it included two sectionsâone of which seemed perfect for a litter box setup. I needed to isolate one of our kittens, so I placed her in the playpen. Sheâs only 5 lbs, but she quickly figured out how to jump and hit the spot where the zipper closes on the larger section. After a few tries, she managed to nudge the zipper enough to escape. To fix this, I secured the zipper with a carabiner, attaching it to a clip at the top of the playpen. Unfortunately, her next move was to scratch a hole through the mesh side. One issue I noticed was that the larger section tended to twist instead of holding its square shape. While I appreciate the two-section design, it would benefit from a sturdier mesh and zipper construction. For comparison, we have a mesh tent and tunnel that have withstood months of use with two sets of kittens without any issues, proving that higher-quality materials are definitely possible.I cannot recommend this for outdoor use, as it is much too unreliable for keeping a pet contained. This could work with very young kittens.

The best playpen available
As a pet mom and animal rescuer, Iâm always searching for versatile items that my animals enjoy using. This playpen seemed a bit pricey at first, but it offered many more features than playpens I have used with my rescue pets previously, so I decided to give it a chance. In hindsight, Iâm glad I ordered it; this is definitely the best playpen we have ever used. Not only is it easy to set up, with a pop-up design thatâs ready in seconds, itâs also far more durable than similar items on the market. The waterproof vinyl means itâs suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. My boy cat is very large and doesnât have much room to play in certain playpens, but thatâs not a problem with this one; itâs spacious yet cozy, and my pets were eager to try it out. They gave it their official seal of approval. I love that there is easy access to the side portion which is intended to be used as a litterbox, but can also double as a feeding station if you donât need a litterbox inside the playpen. I love how easy it is to clean this item, thanks to its smooth yet durable material. I also appreciate that itâs lightweight yet strong and protective. It folds up to practically nothing, which makes storage a breeze. The immense value and quality of this item make it a very worthy purchase. Highly recommend.
