I Love This Product!
Just replaced my Cal King Waterbed mattress with a special order regular Cal King Mattress for waterbed insert. I wanted to protect the entire mattress because it was sitting on plywood where waterbed mattress used to sit. I decided to keep the waterbed liner to protect the SafeRest mattress encasement which protects the mattress.So far I have slept on it 4 nights…just got my new mattress 4 days ago. I washed and dried the SafeRest Waterproof mattress encasement per instructions provided and it washed and dried beautifully! I placed the encasement on my Cal King mattress and the fit was absolutely perfect…this encasement fits 9″-12″ mattress height and mine is 12″ this includes the pillowtop. The encasement is not tight nor is it loose where you have extra material. It is a comfortable fit for the mattress.The materials used for this product are extremely nice. The surface material is quiet, soft and it breathes. The micro-zipper is wonderful and at the end covered by velcro. The encasement was very easy to put on and around the mattress considering my mattress sits inside a 9″ high frame. For anyone with a regular bed this will be a snap to put on mattress. So far I have not spilled anything, my pets have behaved…lol and I am very happy with this product.I actually feel extremely safe, comfortable and have peace of mind having this particular SafeRest encasement on my mattress. It does come with a 10 year warranty, is machine washable, comfortable to sleep on and is noiseless. I searched through many products before I came across this particular one and I couldn’t have chosen better. Comfortable AND Useful
Imagine how horrified I was to move into an apartment after selling my house, only to have bedbugs turn up! The inspector couldnât find any evidence of infestation other than the live one I found, so we still donât know if it was the apartment, the movers, or the used moving boxes my Realtor kindly gave me. Nevertheless, part of the protocol for eliminating them is to use full encasements for the mattress and box springs if I donât want to throw them out. There was no sign of bugs on them, so I went for the encasements.I have a king size bed with the usual split box springs, so I had to buy three encasements altogether. I wasnât very picky about the box springs, but the mattress was a big deal. Almost all of the options were not only bug proof, but also waterproof. I had tried a waterproof cover before, but it had such bad heat feedback I threw it out within a week. Not only that, but it groaned and crackled, and was all around a bad purchase. So this time around I did a lot of research and read a ton of reviews, few-to-none said anything about noise or heat. By and large, this cover is the best.Itâs important to note that a mattress cover is not the same as a mattress pad. A cover is just a shield with a few bonus features. A pad is a comfort enhancement. Some items want to be both, but I donât think itâs possible. This is a mattress cover, protector, and in that role itâs a really good one. The tight weave of the fabric protects against allergens and the dreaded bugs. It sports a terry top with the expectation that you wouldnât need/want an additional mattress pad, but itâs just too thin for me.After I installed the cover, I put on my mattress pad (after washing in really hot water and drying on high, of course), and the comfort level is intact. That is a very important note for me because, as noted, I canât handle heat feedback. I havenât noticed any change.The biggest issue I had against it was my king mattress and trying to will it into the cover. Iâm just a 50-something short chick. I would have appreciated some tips and tricks included with the package, but I was on my own. Luckily, the zipper is really long, and you have about three-quarters of it being open to work with. My success was found in flipping the mattress up against the wall, unzipping the cover, and spreading it over the boxes almost like a fitted sheet, and dropping the mattress back down a little offset so I could slide it into the pocket of the unopened part without the cover sliding out of place. Then I just zipped it up!Again, this is not a mattress âpad.â The terry top is thin, but snuggly in a pinch. You would be a lot happier with a real mattress pad over it. The value of this is in the dust, allergen, bug properties. The whole thing is tightly woven fabric to keep the heebie jeebies out. Given how long you will keep your bed, and how long this will extend its life, plus that it doesnât rustle, crackle, crinkle, etc., itâs worth the price.

Excellent mattress protector
I bought a new full size mattress and wanted to protect it from dust mites and possible spills. I have bought this protector before, and loved it! It is easier to install if you have two people doing it, but can be done by just one person. I find it’s easier to lay it on the mattress zipped up then unzip it and slide to the top of the mattress sliding half under the mattress while sliding the other half over the top of the mattress pull the lower half, under the mattress gently, while simultaneously gently pulling the top half then zip up and adjust as needed. There is a waterproof, terry cloth top and the rest is a durable material. It is very quiet when moving when trying to sleep. Some reviews state there was an odor upon opening the package. Neither of the covers we have purchased had any odor. However, if you do have an odor the cover is washable and dryable (low heat). It takes a while to dry though, but be patient. The zipper is tucked and hidden so it won’t snag on anything. I definitely recommend this mattress protector

It takes forever to dry
It takes forever to dry because of the plastic material it has inside, I’m not looking forward to the next time I have to wash it. The installation was difficult since the mattress I have is heavy and it’s difficult to find the top side of the protector, It took me and my husband a long while to put it on. It looks like a good quality material, except for the Velcro, I don’t expect that to last long. The zipper closes all the way easily. The protector is warm in summer, even with cool bed sheets on top. At first it’s noisy, but you get used to it

The mattress encasement is exactly as described. The quality is very good. We saw no issues with the zipper, it was solid and zipped up with ease. The cover makes no noise. We have not noticed it at all with the sheets on. I’m very sensitive to wrinkles, lumps in the bed and heat. No issues with these concerns. We did follow the advice from another review and used our vacuum to suck the air out. If fits super snug, no wrinkles, no extra fabric. We ordered King 12″. The fit was perfect!We had no issue getting the cover on and we have a foam Casper mattress which is very heavy. The way the cover opens 3/4 on both sides made it easy to slip on from the top and work it to the bottom, we were two one on either side. It took all of about 10 minutes. We have not washed it yet so will up date if there are any issues with quality after its washed. I agree with the review that said buy it, don’t worry its the best on the market. Very happy with our purchase 100% recommended.
