Great gift
I purchased this for a baby shower gift that was requested by the mommy to be. She loved it!

Great design but needs sheets/additional cover
Pros:-Easy to convert to a play yard but it has to be intentional (full unzip of the bottom plus undoing a Velcro cover and clip before you can unzip). It wonât accidentally drop on your kiddo.-Has the ability to either have rocking legs or flip-down stationary tabs-Easy to assemble-Mattress is one piece and lays flat (unlike the pack and play which has lumps from the fold sections)Cons:-Only one mattress cover and it has to be hand washed. Doesnât appear to be sold separately or have third party sheets available (though I only did a quick search to try to find them)-Not easy to take down and store. It requires a screwdriver or small tool to depress tabs to take it apart. Even though it lays flat, it probably wonât be something you want take with you on a trip. Iâd recommend a pack and play or similar for that.Neither pro nor con:-âMattressâ is a piece of plywood with a foam pad. It is not foldable though so it doesnât have gaps when laid out like the classic âpack and playâ does-Cheap music/light/vibration module with buttons that seem to stick. Seems on par with most other bassinets Iâve tried though.Overall:This is a very good bassinet for the price. It lacks some features of more expensive bassinets, like a swivel-over-the-bed or a drop-down-side feature, but it is well constructed and will serve very well as a primary bassinet. I really liked the rocking-stationary ability and conversion to a play yard is an added bonus. It definitely lags behind the traditional pack and play if youâre looking for a more portable/travel bassinet. The mattress cover issue is the only thing that loses it a star. The amount of sheets we went through with our other bassinet was high due to blowouts or spit up. I did try some third party pack and play sheets (the kind with the elastic band on the edges) and they were too big but were passable as a sheet over the cover. Itâs not a great solution but itâs a workaround that might work for some.

LOVE LOVE LOVE
Super easy to set up, I love that I can lower it to the ground for my 1 year old to take a nap in when we are traveling and my infant isnât using. Doesnât take up much space so super ideal for traveling.

Stylish and Convenient Bassinet Option.
The Safety 1st Slumber-and-Play Bassinet exceeded my expectations in terms of ease of assembly and appearance. Although my baby is still newborn and hasn’t used it yet, I’m eager for the day when she can play in it. The size and quality are impressive, and I appreciate the convenience of its folding feature. Another excellent product from this brand.

The rocking function sets it apart from others I’ve used
I ordered this to try out with my 5 month old as she has started to not like her other bassinet so much – I thought the rocking feature could help soothe her and help increase her tolerance for sleeping in the bassinet. It wasn’t too difficult to assemble and I was able to complete it all on my own, which was a big plus. It’s fairly roomy and still allows her enough room to roll over for tummy time. She did end up liking the rocking so I would say it helped her adjust better. I really didn’t want to bed share for safety reasons so I was glad this worked out. I’m not sure how many more months until she outgrows it and I’ll need a true crib, but for now she’s enjoying it. Hoping by then she’ll be better equipped with sleeping solo. It’s a sturdy sleeper thus far and has held up well thus far!

Made well, sleek design, sturdy
The “Safety 1st Slumber-and-Play Bassinet, Easily Converts from Bassinet to Play Yard” has a sleek design in my opinion. I feel that it appears and feels like it is a higher quality than others that I have had. I love that it comes with a mat that is easy to wipe off and sanitize when needed, and that it is versatile, as it can be used for a regular bedside bassinet, a cradle, and even a mini-playpen! I have received many compliments and questions about where I got this bassinet from, as it truly is a little better quality than others I have seen. It was not too difficult to assemble, and is easy to move around, or change functions as needed. It has earned the five stars I gave it. If I do end up having any issues with this item, I will come back and update my review to reflect this. Thank You!

Compact bassinet, but difficult to assemble and some weird issues
This is a review for the Safety 1st slumber-and-play bassinet. This is relatively compact at about 2/3 of the width of a pack and play. This has 2 levels, one that is more of a bassinet that is about half the height, and the full height which is basically down to the floor. However, the bassinet height is a little bit inconvenient — it’s a bit too low so it requires me to bend over more than I’d like. I have a Graco pack and play that has the bassinet level at a more convenient height. The full “play” part when it’s expanded all the way down has sufficient height, but it’s a bit small — there’s not enough room for an older (3 month old) baby to turn around. In terms of physical construction, it feels pretty study, but it’s more difficult to assemble than a pack and play that just folds into place — this has separate legs and stuff you have to put together. Once assembled, it feels fine and able to support a kid. There is a weird issue with this though — you have to be pretty careful to make sure the mattress (which is really just a board with some padding on one side) is level, which may take a few tries. The first time I put it together, my baby kept rolling to one side so he was right up against the side, which is kind of bad. My baby is old enough that he can push himself away from the side, but he does often end up with his head right up on the side.We are currently using this as our main bassinet for our 4 month old baby, but will probably have to retire it soon because it’s too narrow for him.Overall, even though this is currently our main bassinet, I don’t really like it. It’s also in the same price range as other pack and plays that I think would work better.
