Sealy is obviously a trusted name brand and you get what you pay for (and more) with this crib mattress cover! Itâs waterproof and quiet, and fits the crib mattress well, which really is all you can ask for. Our baby hasnât arrived yet but we feel confident that this affordable mattress cover will keep him cool, and the mattress both dry and protected. Would recommend.

I don’t know about the cooling, I can’t ask an infant if they felt cooler on this, but I did notice the baby was less sweaty on the warmer days he napped on this, than he had on the days before I picked this up. I’m now a first time grandma, so of course I need a decent set up for my favorite little person ever, but I have “been out of the game” for a few years now, so I have had to relearn what works well and what doesn’t for baby products. Initially, I thought these were a gimick, like I said, no way to ask an infant if he felt cooler during his nap. I live in a four season area, one where it typically doesn’t get super hot, so we don’t have AC, as it hasn’t been an issue until this summer, when we had four back to back heat waves.For the most part the baby was fine, but there were a couple days where he woke up a bit sweaty, so I started looking into ways to keep him or his room cooler in case the heat lasted a long time. Glad I did, this arrived first, and the first thing we noticed, he wasn’t waking up sweaty on the hot days, and I combined it with a dual box fan for his window and he was fine. I did manage to locate more of these at a local store, so I have picked up more, I have five now, but babies can get messy quick, so I always tend to have more baby stuff on hand since the washer and dryer only work so fast. I think so far we’ve had three dirty at any given time between needing to be washed because it’s time, and the inevitable accidents babies have. Like I said, I don’t know about cooling, but he’s less sweaty and at the very least this is helping wick the moisture from him on the hot days while he’s napping.

This is a premium brand-named product that has all the requirements we want to see in a mattress pad, as noted above. We try to buy name brand, because name brands typically have high standards for their products. This is a perfect example of this. The mattress pad is easy to wash, stains fade away, are comfortable for baby to have underneath their sheet, and the pad handles the drier so nicely that there is no need to iron a crinkle out of. We really appreciate the attention to details that were placed in the design and manufacture of this pad. We do not see baby developing a sweaty head from sleeping on this cotton pad; and, best of all, there are no leaks to the mattress on those occasional big nights when movement may cause a diaper shift or dad just did not put the diaper and secure the tabs correctly. The fitted skirt stretch has never failed, and we have never had to struggle with stretching this over the mattress. Our baby is growing every day and we are so happy they are growing on a Sealy mattress pad. Helps keep baby comfortable. Believe you me, a waterproof, name brand mattress pad also makes a thoughtful gift, and the recipient will appreciate your trying to be helpful. Even though it’s not cotton (sometimes waterproof demands otherwise) we still give an enthusiastic two (2) thumbs up.

These are absolutely horrible. They DO NOT wick moisture away as claimed. My poor baby lays in her pee til I am aware of the situation and do something about it. Weird feeling fabric. Maybe I got some seconds or something. Worthless.
