Clever dog brush
My dog has a very fine coat that mats super easily. A brush like this one is a necessity. This one has a clever way of removing fur. On the back is a large button. When pressed, the whole front base lifts, pushing the fur out. What a good idea!

Cheap quality—be prepared for bent needles right out of the gate.
In use after a bath, this brush works well, however I don’t have much faith in its durability. As soon as I opened and tried it for the first time, there were some needles that were bent out of shape. And, since the cleaning mechanism extends beyond the needles, when it comes back to the brush it takes those bent needles with it.This could be an issue with any brush like this over time, but literally the first time you use it? Not a good sign. It is made like a $5 brush.

Not sure if the one I got was defective, but there are a number of the bristles that are different lengths all over the brush face. Overall, this is the type of brush my cats like, and the button to get the fluff off is useful. Just needs some quality control I think.

Cheap But Effective
This Self-Cleaning Slicker Brush feels lightweight and almost cheap quality, but it works good on our dogs and the bristles are not sharp, so they tolerate it well.We have another “self-cleaning” brush that is a similar design but maybe a little more solid. However, that brush’s bristles are sharp, so I have to be careful when brushing my dogs and one of them absolutely hates it. So far with this new brush, that isn’t a problem!

Clean as a cat brush can be
I like this product a lot. It’s nice and sturdy and doesn’t bow when i brush my cat. The push button works just as advertised. It almost like it makes little hair patties that I can easily pick up and throw away. It’s nice to not have to pick through the bristles for a change. Great for anyone who owns a cat.

Coated bristle heads are great
My dog does not enjoy being brushed but he requires it a couple times per week. He wasnât bothered by this brush as much as the normal slicker brush with plain metal bristles. The self cleaning is also very convenient where I can hold the brush and press the button with one hand and use the other hand to pull the hair away.

I was on the fence about this brush because I’ve purchased similar ones in the past that ended up being junk. I was pleasantly surprised at this one! It feels sturdy and durable, the button to clean out the brush goes all the way up and allows for easy cleaning, AND my cats LOVE it. All around winner.
