Great battery life
On a full charge I was able to get this to play white noise at about 50% volume all night and it was still going in the morning when we woke up. My kids enjoy cycling through the different sound options. Some are more jarring than others. The speaker size is quite small so some of the effects just sound tinny and annoying coming from such a small speaker. However, the white noise feature works great and isn’t distracting at all.

This SlumberPod portable sound machine is great for use at home (it is loud enough to fill the room with the desired sound), while out and about (easy to hook it onto a stroller), or when travelling. It is my favorite sound machine for travelling and out and about purposes, due to its small size and the fact that it offers more options (both more sound options and the night-light function) than nearly all of my other sound machines.And I have SEVERAL sound machines, and thus several points of comparison. The SlumberPod portable sound machine sound options far exceed those offered by all of my sound machines, other than my rather large Snoo sound + various baby sleep magic machine, but that Snoo is so large and precious that I wouldn’t want to travel with it, and the Snoo is definitely not conducive to being hooked onto a stroller. The Snoo sound and sleep magic machine is really just for home use, but this SlumberPod can be used anywhere – it is even small enough to keep in one’s purse.So, of all my sound machines, my vote is for the SlumberPod portable sound machine if you want a great noise machine for travel and/or “on the go” use, that also serves very well for use at home. This is because the SlumberPod is very durable (no worry about it getting scratched or banged up), small (about the side of a woman’s fist), offers great audio quality and options, and has that key nightlight function (so you aren’t messing around with it in the dark and thus inevitable waking the kids when you accidently crank up the volume, stub your toe, etc.).I have been using the SlumberPod for a few months now, and it is holding up nicely.

Portable white noise machine – perfect travel companion for baby sleep
This portable white noise machine has been a lifesaver for traveling with our little one. Itâs compact and easy to bring anywhere, with a long battery life that lasts through the night on a single charge. The special “shushing” sound is soothing and perfect for infants, helping drown out background noise, especially in noisy hotel rooms. Itâs now my go-to for keeping baby calm and well-rested on the go. Oh, it puts us to sleep too!

Good product
This is a solid, well-made product. It doesn’t feel cheap in the hand. The buttons press well and aren’t flimsy. The speaker quality isn’t bad, but it isn’t great, probably what you’d call middle of the road. It gets loud without being distorted, but it certainly isn’t Bose-level fullness of sound if you’re expecting that kind of thing. I didn’t like how the volume dial is limitless – there is no top or bottom, it just spins forever and plays a noise when you’ve reached loudest it’ll go. Maybe that’s easier or more reliable than having a hard stop, but I’d still prefer if it stops spinning once you’ve maxed it out. The variety of sounds is good and covers all the usual bases. The quality of the sounds is also well-done with no complaints. The LED light feature is a ring that goes around the entire unit and is a pleasing warm white color (yellow/orange, maybe around 2000K or perhaps a bit lower) that works very well for nighttime. The built-in hook strap at the top is solid and not ripping off, but it is short (maybe only an inch to an inch-and-a-half) so you’ll likely need to add another strap if you want to hook it into something and have it hang down a few inches.It’s a good, well-made, and well-thought out product. Recommended!

A Few Notable Things That Stand Out to Me:
The button-lock switch on the back prevents all button and volume functions from working, except for the power button; it will still power off/on when held down.The light brightness levels are so nice, it can be dimmed down to just a glow, or illuminated to faintly light up the room, enough to do simple tasks.There is a single note that dings when youâve reached max volume, and a little chime that plays when youâve cycled through all the sound options on one button. It doesnât seem like this chime is affected by the volume level at all, and I find it to be too loud when the volume is set to low.I really appreciate that it remembers your last settings, so I can set it once, choose a timer, and after it shuts off either from the timer or if I manually turn it off, when I turn it back on, it powers up with all the last settings, including the selected timer, so I donât have to manually set it every time. Makes using this very quick and simple.Overall, Iâm impressed with the build quality. The max volume is moderately louder than what I was expecting for this small speaker, and it doesnât sound distorted. It has a nice low rumble for the thunder in one of the rain sounds. I like the selection of sounds! Really great for travel. Holds a good charge, its been used nightly for over a week so far without needing to recharge.
