My dog cannot have something witha squeaker in it because she will have it destroyed in minutes.I love the vibrant colors. I’m not sure if my dogs care about the colors but I don’t think it hurts. There are so many sports to hide treats.My female is in Prednisone so she does not listen as well. This mat is great motivation to get her into the room they need to be in when we head off to work or leave without them. The pockets are so thick and steady to hold the treats until she is ready to find them. Definitely worth the money. This has been a life saver for me to get and keep their attention so I can leave for work a little less guilt free. ð

Don’t try to be too exact
At first I was too careful about filling this with food and it took too long. Now I fill up my pup’s food portion in a plastic cup and scatter it throughout the mat. There are still a fw places I have to carefully load the food, but it goes much quicker. It takes my dog longer to eat from this mat than it does her bowl, and it gives her a mental challenge, which is great b/c she’s a smartie! When finished, I fold it up and put it in her toy basket. I took off 1 star because one of the petals came off after just a couple of usages. Eventually I’ll get around to sewing it back on. ‘

I have a Yorkie (purebred yet rescue) he tends toward separation anxiety. I normally take him wherever I go but, Northern NV has had triple digit heat much more than normal this summer so tagging along in the truck just can’t happen. I used to scatter treats amongst his toys, blanket…He seemed to enjoy the hunt/distraction. LOL I have no clue why but, I had to work with him when I was home to teach him to ‘snuffle’ he perceived this as another toy to wrestle with and ‘try to find the squeaker.’ This product is well made, it has several different textures/hiding spots/colors that truly engage the dog.I highly recommend this ‘snuffle mat.’

I wouldnât really call this a snuffle mat, it doesnât have a lot of âhidingâ areas. The best part are the 3 âcupâ like parts as they are deep to put food/treats in, otherwise the rest of the mat doesnât allow for you to hide food. I kept it only because the dog Iâm using it for doesnât really need the mental stimulation so it works fine for her.

Perfect for a Puppy
Purchased for my puppy and she loves it! I bought a few different types and this one seems to be her favorite. It’s not super intense for her but she quickly got good at working through the little pockets. It’s also not that big, maybe 14″ x 14″ so I can store it away easily. Would recommend for small dogs or puppies.
