Adorable and inexpensive
I saw this dog toy and had to laugh. The stuffed animal armadillo is adorable but they are not adorable in real life. This toy is soft and has different fabric textures that will arouse and taunt a dog who takes pride in dismembering his toy victims! Maverick, the golden retriever, is an aggressive shredder. He is going to destroy this toy quickly. There are too many appendages to choose to rip offâ¦.a tail, 4 legs, 2 ears, a long pointy nose and a ruffle around his armor shell! Maverick loves squeaky toys and this one is easy to squeak. The armadillo is about 10â long but if you stretch him tail to nose he is about 15â long, itâs about 5â wide and if his hind legs are pulled down he is 6â deep. He is a good size for medium and large dogs, great for labs and retrievers. You can choose the toy as non squeaking, but what dog wants a toy that doesn’t squeak? The squeaky version is not loud or obnoxious. I couldnât resist this purchase because it was priced under $8 and I despise armadillos in my yard, so Iâm ok with Maverick destroying this toy on Christmas morning:) Maverick will love this toy!!UPDATE: Maverick loved the armadillo but the poor fellow quickly lost an ear and leg.

Holds up to aggressive chewing
Itâs cute! My dog really likes it. She holds it by the nose. Sheâs a really aggressive chewer. Toys like this usually last about one day at our house. This one is sturdy, soft, and has a good squeak.

Most toys my puppy has torn apart so he can pull all the stuffing out. These have lasted and he hasnât been able to tear them up. He plays with them all the time.

Both of my dogs love these dog toys
The smaller dog grabbed the larger toy and the bigger dog grabbed the smaller toy. My bigger dog normally tears these toys apart in many pieces, but so far not these toys. I live out in the Country by a Lake and I have a very large Armadilla live one of these that visits my yard nightly.

Super cute, not for aggressive chewers
The armadillo is adorable, soft and looks well made. But, it’s no match for our Staffy/Pit. She had the seams on the legs open and one of the ears detached within minutes. Fortunately, when I say don’t eat the stuffy, she doesn’t, but she continues to destroy it. I will add that it lasted longer with her than it would have with our dachshunds. We had one that would destroy anything in under 10 seconds. If you have a pup who just likes to have a ‘baby’ to carry around and doesn’t aggressively try to mutilate it, this would be a great one.
