Foster dog lost interest quickly in this toy
I ordered this unstuffie because I wanted to see if I could get my foster dog interested in toys without polyfill in them. He has, on two occasions since he has been here, gotten sick and thrown up pieces of toys he chewed up and swallowed while at the rescue. So, I saw this squeaky sea turtle and ordered it, thinking it would hold his interest. Unfortunately, it did not. The turtle is cute, and appears to be well made. There are no plastic parts for the dog to chew off or swallow, which I really appreciate. My foster dog took the toy and chewed on it until he found the only squeaker, which is right in the middle of the turtle’s back. He then lost interest quickly. I am thinking it is because it is so flat that there is nothing to sink his teeth into. I think if this toy had either a larger squeaker or several of them that it would interest my dog more than it did.
