It is a great introduction plate for self-feeding babys.
I glanced over this plate a few different times because it wasn’t what I was looking for. I perused a couple of other choices and did a bit of research and due to information about potential hazards in the other choices, I gladly came back and chose this plate for my grandson. The metal construction has no ill effects that could contaminate the food, is dishwasher safe, and made to withstand a toddler. It has 3 different spaces available which I found to be convenient to fill with different textures of food as he is at the tactile age. I also tried different colored foods to introduce different flavors. This plate helped me start my grandson with good eating habits by offering the space to do so. It also offered me some fun while watching him explore all those things. The suction cup at the bottom of the plate grasped tightly to his highchair tray and try as he might to flip the plate over, it stayed the course and didn’t budge. In addition to the suction cup, on the bottom of the two smaller spaces, non-slip rubber is present to inhibit any sliding which would’ve had a lesser effect of the suction staying put. Before this review, he had used it several times and we did have one happenstance where he was able to get the plate loose and hurl it onto the floor. Lets just chalk that up to the grammy not fastening tight enough and to an 11 month old who was hell bent on sharing his dinner with his salivating fur friends lying in wait for any little bit of morsels he was willing to share. They have been greatly disappointed ever since then because I have been vigilant in super securing the suction cup. With first time self feeding eaters, messiness goes with the territory. However, other than that one instance, this plate has reduced the leftover tray guck that we had before. It repels stuck on food easily and washes nicely. Ideally a non-scratch sponge is the choice to make when handwashing as the metal is not fully scratch resistant. In the bigger scheme of things, not only did it hold up to my gradson, but it opened a whole new set of eating habits🫶

Got this suction plate for my toddler as he transitions into bigger food portions and I am very happy with it. The suction cup holds very well on my table and stops my toddler from trying to lift the whole plate and maybe have an accident.The size is adequate and can hold a good portion of food, plus it has three different trays which is good for adding some fruits to the food. The stainless steel looks very nice and is very easy to clean. I put this in the dishwasher almost everyday and I haven’t noticed any signs of staining or rusting.
