Awesome purchase, great for my long haired Shih Tzu
Works great and it is easier to brush my Shih Tzu… Water mist lasts a long time.

    Great for my old car.
I have a very elderly cat who can no longer groom herself very effectively. Although my other cat grooms her, I feel like I should be doing some of that work too. I’ve had good luck grooming motherless kittens by “licking” them with a damp washcloth on my finger, so I was wiping then brushing her. This is so much easier and works so much better. It sort of mimics the way a cat grooms itself. The mist is cool, and I can brush as I dampen her. She wasn’t a big fan at first but trusts me and now she loves it. She wasn’t interested in being an Amazon cat star, so my stuffed kitty stood in for her. You can see in the pic of its “arm” that the moisture is light but substantial enough to make a difference. My sweet old cat is happier and cleaner, and I’m relieved to be able to make her life better.

    It’s OKAY
I used this on my two adult cats. The mist comes out cool and it’s powered by battery that you can plug in to charge. It is easy to fill and easy to use. The brush has little plastic nubs on each of the bristles. I didn’t have a ton of luck getting much fur out of my cats with it. Even when it was hot in the summer and they were shedding it didn’t really seem to grip the fur well. It did serve to cool them down with the mist though. I will say that I was a little disappointed because the ads you see for these brushes look so satisfying.

Like the hand held “slicker” style brush, not using the misting very much.
All of my pet brushes of this hand-held style are the silicone massagers, similar to the human shampoo scalp massagers. But not this one. This is an actual brush – YEA! If you are looking for the silicone tips massager brush with a misting ability, this is NOT the massager brush you want. This little gem is more like a “slicker” style of pet brush, with wire prongs. I was surprised to see that is was even shipped with a plastic insert between the removal plate and the brush body to protect the prongs. In our house, we have had 1 cat who is just now letting me use both a slicker-styled, wire brush and a silicone massager brush on her. Just 2-3 swipes as she walk past when I’m working on my laptop. The handle brush she will tend to back up as if it is a threat, while the hand held massager seems not to be a threat. With this cute hand held version (she doesn’t care if it is cute or not), I get better brushing done when given the opportunity. With her, no misting at all, but the other cats don’t mind a little mist. The hair is easily removed with the push button. Plus, she doesn’t appreciate seeing her brushes used on the other cats (my old man is the only exception) so having one outstanding version helps.I see no reason why a cat that is used to a handled slicker brush of this same type would have any issues with this palm style. Unless the person brushing is using more force than they realize, thereby pushing the metal combs into the fur & skin without realizing they are doing so. I have 5 cats, 2 long haired and 3 short haired, and no one seems to have any issues with this brush. Cost is within the realm of a lot of this type but just be sure to order what you are really looking for. Wire prong brush vs silicone massager. My cats are cushy house cats and we have to have both styles.

    I’m impressed
I wanted to like this, but as a cat/dog brush it really didn’t pick up much hair. The mist comes out cool and comfortable, and it is rechargable. It is easy to refill and the water it does hold lasts quite a bit of time. I just need something that gets all the extra fur so my cats arn’t shedding all over my house. I’d rate this a 7 out of 10.

    Works Exactly as Advertised!
Out of my two female cats (who are both short hair), only one accepts being brushed. Coco, is a dark tabby who normally does not shed that much, but after this hot and humid summer she had begun to shed more. I tried to use the steam setting but she ran away when she felt the water droplets on her (even though she’ll sit in the kitchen sink and let water drip on her… go figure). But when I used the brush by itself (no steam action), she was accepting of it.I did prepare the brush with hope that I would use the steam. The water reservoir to easy to fill and has a small capacity. When turned on, the steam came out almost immediately and was gentle enough. If you’re lucky enough to get the brush near your cat and brush them, the bristles are stiff but are gentle enough to brush your cats fur and really easy to clean with the push-up mechanism that releases the collected hair. The first time I brushed Coco, I collected a lot of loose hair that will not be floating around the house. Two thumbs up!!

Pretty neat cat ‘steam’ brush for grooming
The Steamy Cat Brush has been a good tool for grooming my cat, with the caveat that he started by hating it, but now is used to it. As another user mentioned, it helps if you familiarize your cat to it with the device off, and once they’re comfortable with the brush, then turn it on while brushing them. I have not had any issues using this method, but my cat WILL NOT let me brush him if I approach him the the ‘steam’ on.A rather obvious disclaimer, I want to address something slightly misleading, this brush does not create steam, it delivers a ‘steam-like’ mist of water.Pros:- Functionality: Combines brushing with a fine mist spraying, making grooming and cleaning the brush efficient and easy.- Self-Cleaning: The back has a button that will push the baffle outwards, bringing most if not all hair out with it.- Generous Water Reservoir Size: The water reservoir is big enough to last for a couple of brushing sessions.- Battery Life: So far, battery life has been impressive, lasting longer than anticipated. On top of that it is rechargeable.- Fun Design: Cute and funny design makes me smile.Neutral:- Price: I have tried multiple ‘Steam’ brushes, and this is the most ‘costly’ one. HOWEVER it is one of my favorites.Overall, the Cat Steam Brush is a must-have for cat owners looking for an efficient and enjoyable grooming tool. I recommend it, would most likely buy again.
